Ok, maybe Vitali isn't a one punch KO boxer, but men of his height are rarely that. Most of the biggest punchers in history were men who were rather of average height, like Shavers,Benn,Tua, Dempsey,Tyson...somebody even said Tyson wasn't a one punch ko artist. And it was a commentator in fact!
I'd agree with it for the most part. Tyson got the majority of his opposition out of there with well-placed combinations. Only during the later part of his career did he start looking for the one big punch and was much less successful.

In actuality it's pretty rare for fighters to score many one-punch KOs against solid opposition.

What I look for is when fighters have the ability to change the fight with one punch, or if that one punch puts a guy in serious trouble and is the "beginning of the end". Tyson was usually a combo puncher, but certainly had one-punch KO power, or that one shot could be the "beginning of the end". Tyson had his share of one-punch KOs early in his career against lesser opposition, then some fights later on against better opposition where he took a guy out with one punch or that one punch really did serious damage. He landed his traditional right-hook-to-the-body/right-uppercut-upstairs combo on Tubbs. Tubbs was hurt, and then a left hook finished him. The first punch that dropped Spinks was a body shot, but it wasn't a body shot (or Spinks's fear) that made his eyes practically roll to the back of his head. It was Tyson's right to the head. Tyson took out Botha with one shot as well.
