Yes - incidentally, this is all off topic, you really shouldn't be cluttering someone else's thread like this.

"Who's Number 1" is originally an ESPN Classic show, but every now and then they'll show them on regular ESPN.

About 6 months ago I got to see this bull**** list.

It's funny too, because I'd never seen the program before, and to see one on boxing I was rather excited.

Jones above Duran is a prime example of why it annoyed me.

There were other examples as well of some really weird rankings that made me scratch my head and wonder how the hell they came up with the rankings.

It seemed to me that they just put 25 fighters' names in a hat, and that's how they came up with the list.

But honestly ; it's to be expected.

It's ESPN, they know next to nothing about our great sport of boxing.

I did think "Greatest Rivalries" was quite good though.

Was it new? I know many of those Who's Number 1 things were made a while ago, so that list might have been done after Roy beat Ruiz and everyone was putting him too high.

If memory serves me correct, it aired sometime in 2004.

So you may be onto something here, with Jones having beaten Ruiz in 2003.

they had interviews with a bunch of so called experts, one from boxingscene....ron borges = biggest boxing idiot, he gives the dumbest reasons......'ill tell you why rocky is the greatest look at his record'......they also had some old guy downplaying roy jones and every new fighter...i wasnt watching the tv when i heard 'theres no middleweight in history who could beat roy jones'...

                      20-larry holmes
                      19-cesar chavez
                      18-tunney
                      17-holyfield - above holmes
                      16-tyson
                      15-duran - too low
                      14-jones
                      13-pep
                      12-archie moore
                      11-joe frazier - doesnt belong
                      10-foreman
                      9-hagler - too high
                      8-leonard
                      7-jack johnson - doesnt belong
                      6-henry armstrong
                      5-jack dempsey - doesnt belong
                      4-marciano
                      3-robinson
                      2-louis
                      1-ali

as you can tell they didnt really talk about boxing just social impacts for johnson dempsey louis ali....list is too biased towards heavyweights...

after the show they had bert sugar and some writer arguing that robinson and pep were the best, sugar gives his old ray robinson ko'd a guy backwards like he was the only one to do it and willie pep won without throwing a punch story....

Duran needs to be higher, Marciano, Dempsey and Johnson a great deal lower.

Robinson needs to be at no.2 one above Louis..imo of course.

Ali did so much at HW he needs that place.
