If You Could Choose 1 Fighter To Fight in Todays Era

    Hey All

I thought this would be interesting. If you could bring any fighter from ANY era into 2009 who would it be an why?

I would love to see Benny Leonard and Joe Gans fighting today. Both incredible fighters and well ahead of their time. With todays rules and day before weigh ins they'd both likely win titles at 126, 130 and 135 with 140 also being a possibility.

A prime Holyfield. Not cause he was my favorite but because I would like to see him against the Klitschkos.

Outside of that it would be an early fighter such as Ketchel or Greb just to get an idea of how good that era was.

Lightweight to Welterweight Sugar Ray Robinson

it would be nice to have Ali to bring some life back to the heavy weight division but i think lightweight and welterweight have the most life in them currently id rather see some fights in those divisions especially against the likes of SRR

id like a young, focused and mentally stable mike tyson to bring some excitement to the HW division. or possibly tommy hearns. this comparing him to williams bs is starting to piss me of. it would be sweet to have tommy knock his jaw into fifth row and make these morons understand how ******ed they really are.

It would have to be Rocky Marciano.. The stigma of 49 & 0 captivates my imagination.. I've always had the belief that he would have been too small to compete in the modern era, & I'd love to know whether I'd be right or wrong.. I think he'd take the likes of Ruiz, Rahman, Maskaev etc but I'm not so sure about the Klits, Tua, a prime holy or a prime Lewis though..
