He was just more charismatic than the others and there's more film of his antics.

Tony Galento, for one, loved to talk ****. Joe Louis said the only guys he hated were Schmeling and Galento (he ended up being friends with both of them).

Max Baer was another one to, and it largely contributed to his downfall..
A lot of his clowning, was solely directed at the opponent while he showed off without concentrating on his boxing.. Ali just happened to be a better multi tasker than Baer..

I liked reading and watching about some of the things Jack Johnson did.

Sometimes he'd look at one of his girlfriends ringside and say "this guy can't do anything to me". He'd also speak in a psuedo English accent.

You're doing a very good job impressing the Louis fans. Some advice to ya mate: use more exclamation points so it looks more real.

Btw moron, bumbeater was a coward for his behavior outside of the ring. It has nothing to do with him being a coward as a fighter, although he did quit. Oh wait, that actually does almost make him a coward for the way he quit against Schmeling.

But my point was that Louis was a woman beater who drank and used drugs, yet put on this face for the public to believe he was a perfect gentleman.

You see, Ali and Johnson never made their faults a secret. Louis and his team however were too affraid to show the real Louis.
