    Pernell Whitakers Greatest Fights?

Looking to download some fights of his career after seeing how high he is placed in ATG lists.

So what do people think are his best fights?

Adding to Southpaw16bf's list I'd also recommend his fight with Buddy Mccgirt.

I would add Rafeal Pineda(junior welterweight title) and the rematch with Buddy McGirt. The rematch with Jose Luis Ramirez was vintage Pernell Whitaker and showcased all of his great skills from his defense, jab, body punches and counter punching. That one is a must.

          I'd recommend to watch these:

          Roger Mayweather
          Buddy McGirt 2
          Julio Cesar Chavez
          Jose Luis Ramirez 2
          Rafael Pineda

And Diobleys Hurtado, to see an older Whitaker on a bad night pull one out.

Might want to throw in De La Hoya - Whitaker too: An aging Pernell uncorks one last special performance that many observers (including myself) thought he won.

Scored the DLH fight a draw myself. But, it would have been a win without the bull**** WBC point deduction.

No one mentioned Diosbelys Hurtado? Not his greatest performance and he was past his prime, but definitely one of the most exciting fights and amazing finishes of his career, without a doubt! And it did show something about Pernell which was never really shown before, how he would react in a desperate situation and behind on the scorecards.

                    Thread Stealer mentioned it.
