Basically a who's who of the era's greatest names and he fought them from bantamweight up to welterweight.

Ali has to be rated up there though.

Well of present fighters hes gotta a good one..
I think it's about who they have beaten, otherwise Oscar would be one of the greatest, but he lost his biggest fights against his biggest names.

Leonard (Benny) is certainly up there and one guy who seems to get a lot of hate on this forum is Greb. It's quite possible that he has more HOF wins than any other fighter, apart from one or two. Greb and Leonard as well as Robinson.

Apart from the obvious legends i think modern fighters like Hopkins, Oscar and Pacquaio have sublime resumes.

So, yeah, McLarnin's era was a tougher era and deserves the utmost respect...

Only a halfwit would even consider removing Ali. I don't care how many HOF fighter someone fought. It only means anything if they fought the HOFers when they were still good. That is what Ali did, ducking no one, even those who had given him really hard fights.

McLarnin enjoyed significant weight advantages over several of his top opponents. Luis Rodriguez has a great resume.

                  - - Nobody but you has mentioned "removing Ali." Care to remove your remove?

Ali ducked the immediate highly lucrative Foreman rematch he detailed in his Playboy interview. On film at the Foreman 5 man Canadian Exhibition screaming how he ain't ever gonna fight Foreman again. Also ducked the scary size and strength of Duane Bobick who KOed skinny Lar in the Olympic Trials after Ali and Angie had mentored and trained Lar.

Which win of Bobick's showed he deserved a shot at Ali's title?
Bobick was ranked no 5 in76 Ali didn't fight him ,instead he fought Norton no2 and Young no3.
Ali ducked Bobick and instead fought Norton 3 times, Norton ,who was as big as Bobick took Bobick out inside 1 round!
Logic isn't your strong point is it!

Being an idiot again, aren't you? Duane fucking Bobbick, you dunce? You should have left it at Foreman, where a case can be made. But Duane Bobbick. Man, you sure can be a ****** ****..
