I remember Shuler staying down for quite a while after Hearns put him down.

Jackson had power in both hands. It's his devastating left hook KO of the durable Buster Drayton that is my favorite:

I think most people hold Jackson's power in higher regard to Hearns as it was just about the only think going for the Hawk.

There are certain fights where the fight was even, then BAM! A lifeless body is slumped in the ring opposite Jackson. In the Graham match-up, Herol was schooling him all night on the way to a unanimous decision, then he stuck his chin out and the rest is history.

You cannot make a knockout highlight reel without the Hawk, that's for sure.

Jackson's right hand was far more powerful but hearns' threw it way faster.

I know this is changing the WHOLE direction of the thread, but can anybody remember a fighter throwing a left to the body as fast and hard as Hearns? The body shots against Shuler and Barkley are particularly vicious.

If you speak of a single shot, I've always held Julian as the hardest puncher at his time, i.e. P4P #1 when also Tyson was around. Some of the Hawk's kayoes are really ugly to watch, and makes you wondering why you bother to watch boxing at all.
Mike McCallum won in two rounds in 1986, but has said he never before or after felt the same power as he did during the opening round. Mike's win wasn't much talked about then as his opponent was rather unknown, but now we know it was one of his greatest victories.

jackson was a vicious puncher and i must admit some of his ko's are actually quite horrible to watch, just sickening how some of the opponents just slump lifelessly to the canvas

nontheless the graham ko is one of my all time favourites

It was only the fourth round and it was not going to a decision because they (Jackson's corner) were going to stop it after the fourth as he was getting badly beaten up and wasn't able to do anything. Brutal KO, one of the worst I've seen.
