    I voted an 8.
10 I'd say is for the best fighters ever; Robinson, Langford, Louis, Pep, Ali, etc.
9 for fighters that fall just short of 10 obviously due to opposition, losses, or something else. Marciano, Holmes, etc.
I think 8 suits him well enough.

For career accomplishments I rate Lewis, and Holyfield higher. I do believe however, that when Mike was focused he was not only one of the most dangerous boxers to ever live; he was also one of the most dangerous human beings to ever walk the planet. I give Mike a 7 for his boxing career. There were just too many other heavyweight boxers that accomplished more in the sport.

I think of 5 as average (as in the average fighter of the sport, who probably never won a title but had a respectable career), 6 as above average (may have gotten a shot at the title, probably never held one), 7 as good (had a good career, top fighter in his time, probably won a title), 8 as very good, 9 as great, 10 as all-time great or something like that.

if you only list that bad he's obviously gonna look like garbage..

let's begin with Lewis, knocked out cold by Rahman is a start..

and the 2 best names on his resume were washed up or getting there...

Exactly! Your ranking number will all depend how you categorize the boxer’s career. In my opinion, the only 10 in this entire group belong to Ali, and Louis.

I voted 6/10 because it should have been so much more.
