Can there really be a discussion about this without mentioning Jimmy Wilde? This division wasn't active (as far as I know) back in Wilde's day, but the man fought almost his entire career at barely over 100lbs and is probably the greatest puncher ever from the lower weight classes. He was undefeated in his first 98 fights, That is imressive no matter what era or weight class he fought in.

Myung-Woo Yuh has 18 world title defences at light-flyweight. 17 in his first reign as champ, then 1 after he regained the title holding it for over 5 years as well. I did consider Chang, as well as Gushiken, who has 13 defences of his world title, and it probably is the case that either is more deserving of a place on the list than Zapata and Arce.

A very good point. No doubt that he would be near the top if we combined Strawweight, light fly and flyweight together as the weight would have been when Wilde was champion.

Also, I was going to do a similar thread for the Flyweight division in the next few days.
