You must not know one thing about boxing pal! Just look at the knockout ratios between the two fighters. Hell, for an old washed up Tyson who was fighting Lewis. It's pretty sad if even Lewis said Tyson his harder than Tua and how old was Tua? Tyson's punch is equivalent to an 18lb sludge hammer hitting you at 30mph.

QUOTE "Tyson's left was usually followed by an equally as powerful right", seriously who have you been watching fight? Tyson may have very well finished of allot of his opponents with one punch a left hook! He sent more of his opponents flying into the ropes with that left and didn't need the right to match it. Tyson has stated that his right hand is more powerful but he always seems to knock them dead with his left!? In order to deliver the more powerful punch you must deliver the perfect technique. How else do you get knockouts pal? His form was far superior to Tua's, generating power from beneath was what made Tyson's punches so unreal with raw power!

Tyson by far hit harder than Tua there is no comparison on this thread because in all due reality everyone knows just by reviewing the records Tyson is amongst the heaviest punchers of all time and allot further up than David Tua!

He didn't but Lewis said Tua's left hook wasn't that great. However I'm inclined to say Tua just never really connected, cause many other fighter's claimed the opposite .
Going by just viewing fights Tua does look like he hits harder, although almost all evidence says Tyson does. Tyson made a guy cry in the ring, he's one of the hardest punchers ever.

Its already mostly been said but...Tyson had more technique and hand speed to deliver the power he had (which was a lot) but tua might have had the slight edge but just not enough speed to get the power to the other fighter. The knockdown that frazier got on ali is something i always remember because he did it with great timing, speed and accuracy. These combined can make a not so powerful punch a pretty damn sore one

He said it after the fight with Tyson. Tyson was being interviewed while Lewis was stating this.

tuas left hook is one of the most powerful punches in boxing bt tyson was far superior in EVERY other way.

tua had a hard time landing whereas tyson could land cleanly on anyone

when did tua land a good left hook on lewis?

i never saw it so how can he compare?

he was only trying to show that when he beat tyson, tyson WAS still as dangerous as he has always been.

You cant compare there power based on there fights with Lewis because neither of them landed a good shot against Lewis. If they had they would have won by KO.

LOL, now this **** is funny. Yeah Tua's left hook was so fast he knocked out most of his opponents with it like Tyson did. Right pal, keep dreaming Tyson's left hook was so devastating it turned a mans brain into blender slushy. One punch from Tyson's left hook and he sends his opponents flying across the ring. This is something Tua was never able to do like Tyson.

You can't even compare the Tyson that fought Lewis against the Tua the fought Lewis. Age and mental status played a big ass role in this one, Tua was fresh much younger when he got man handled by Lewis, Tyson was old over the hill mentally disrupted and only fighting to pay bills. A prime Tyson would have crushed Lewis early like he did in their sparing sessions. Tua was just defeated because Lewis is the better fight/boxer~!
