So who do you think won the first fight?

- -I score even rds that allow me to understand most every controversy about scoring.

When I tallied, it was a perfect draw, meaning all the Pea fans thought the even rds belong to him and vice versa for JCC.

More telling are my lasting impressions. Surprised to see Pea outmuscling Sr in the clinches, not surprised to see Sr as a slow starter and past prime and Pea as a clown who couldn't or wouldn't buckle down like he did for UncRoger.

I recently watched the first step up fight vs lefty Ramirez and indeed Pea fast out the gate with showy high energy footwork that was the first scoring controversy of his career.

All while moving straight into Ramirez lunch pail where he couldn't miss his left hook to the liver that turned Pea into a running, grabbing mess of jelly.

The American announcers were horrid. This the same Ramirez Comacho KDed and pitched a punch perfect masterclass on 3 yrs earlier.

Had that been Macho who was still undefeated then, he'd pull the dunce cap over him for a good mugging.

Pea eventually scored a legit win over Ramirez at the very end of a fine career, but too little and too late by then for he and Macho as they dove into the pile of nose candy that era was noted for.
