          that was shane's natural weight. he skipped 140 and went straight to 147 where he was always the smaller man. only losses were to naturally alot bigger guys aside from cotto where he lost a sd way past his prime. Shane was the man at 135. He moved up in weight because there where the money was.

              I understand all this. But that deoesn't make him an all time lightweight. Apart from Holiday, Molina and Leija his comp at 135 was pretty weak. The other guys that have been mentioned (Gans, Duran, Armstrong and Whitaker) ruled their division for a good amount of time and or beat other legends at that weight. I like Shane, but he can't make that claim and shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as those other fighters.

                  ya nothing on his resume really says it. But shane was sick at 135.
