If that happens its just another washed-up would be contender. Who wants to see Vlad fight Roy? Lennox has been the only bright spot in what? 10 years? How many so called 'heavyweight saviors' have we been thru?

    David Tua

I'm sure I'm forgetting someone, but you get the idea.. however we may have some relief in sight with guys like Chris Arreola, Alexander Povetkin and David Haye....

He had 20 straight title defenses and was clearly the best and most consistent fighter from 78 till 85. Is the only elite heavyweight to approach Marciano's 49-0 record. His wins over Norton and Shavers showed trendous heart and his skill was undeniable. If it wasn't for his bland and sometimes distastful personality and the fact he came after Ali, it is my opinion he would be more highly regarded on a personal level today. There were a few fighters I thought he should have fought (there are for almost any champion) and two who deserved rematches (Williams and Witherspoon), but overall he was dominant.

Now.....turn about is fair play. You don't even have Holmes in your top 10 and I think that is a crime. Why?

And how is it you rate Dempsey, Frazier and Tyson ahead of him?

                • This is boxrecs top 25 all time heavyweights.

Top 5 I can't argue with, personally I'd have Lennox in there but that is just me.

I like that Harry Wills is so high, it's where he should be IMO.

But jesus, mary and butt licking joseph, who compiled this list. Take a look at no.6, no.16 and no.17.
