i think fenech was named by the WBC but id say kostya has him covered. maybe fenech if he got the decision against azumah first time round.

I have seen the Thompson-Duran fight from the 70s. That is cool he is your grandad. I have researched him more and he fought some alltime greats. Fighting both Duran and Cervantes is a big deal.

I feel Lionel Rose could have done more had he not had the bad luck to be around the same time as Olivares. He is a great man and his story is a very good one.

Yeah I don't recall all the details, but I will search through my fights for it. Duran was a beast and no shame is losing to a possible top 5 P4P of all time fighter at his best weight in his prime.

The best Australian Boxer I've ever seen. He was around when there was only one World champ and no Super divisions. Fought the best, beat the best. Lionel Rose would have boxed Fenech into pieces.

Rose was so well schooled, I wished they trained fighters that way these days.
