Robinson
Pryor
Whitaker
Hearns
Leonard
Chavez
Mosley
Trinidad
De La Hoya
Bisillio
In that order
Pryor and Chavez fought at 140 and has little to no success at 147 either. Leonard should be ahead of Hearns on his head to head win alone, not metioning his win over Benitez is more impressive than Hearns over Ceuvas.
#1 Sugar Ray Robinson- no doubt undefeated at welterweight. Defeated 5 welterweight champions. His best work was done at welterweight and was his best division not middleweight (although he was a heck of middleweight). Awesome one punch power, speed, chin, courage, boxing skills, etc.
#2 Sugar Ray Leonard- Holds wins over undefeated great fighters such as Wilfred Benitez, and Thomas Hearns. Also a win over the great Roberto Duran in the infamous "no mas" bout. Even in his sole welterweight loss a close decision loss to Roberto Duran he performed valiantly and proved what he was made. Combined awesome handspeed with ko power, one of the best combination punchers in history of boxing.
#3 Thomas Hearns- Joe Louis called Thomas Hearns the hardest punching welterweight he had ever seen up till that point he said Ray Robinson was the hardest punching welterweight. Amazing KO artist destroyed the feared Pipino Cuevas. Had he beat Ray Leonard in there 1981 superfight he would be #2 on this list but lost in the 14th round when ahead on all cards. Was a ko artist who was also a great boxing stylist.
I would place Emile Griffith and Jose Napoles right behind these three fighters. I would also place Kid Gavilian and Tito Trinidad in the top 10.
