yeah dude, but Cotto lost to Mohamed Abdulaev in the "2000" Olympics. you're probably talking about the 1998 Junior World Championships, where Cotto came in second place. A couple of dudes beat Cotto in the AM's....Cotto lost to Ivan Calderon!!! But the AM's is one thing, The Pros is totally different. Today, Cotto would whoop Calderon.

Amateurs and pro's are two different worlds. Look at Tyrell Biggs beating Lennox Lewis in the amateurs and you will realize the difference in the two worlds.

Mario kindelan is arguably one of the best ameture fighters that ever lived.

He was not just winning he was comepletly outclassing everyone, very sad that he never whent pro.

Cotto fights in slow mo compared to Mario, and the outcome would be the same in a pro fight

              Yes, more precisely:

Kindelan beat Khan twice in "real" competitions.

Kindelan retired after winning his second gold in 2004 (beating Kahn).

Almost 1 year later there was a fight between Kahn and now retired Kindelan, which Khan finally managed to win.

They would be in completely different weight classes in the pros. Kindelan could have prolly made 130, nut more likely 135, whereas Cotto always had trouble making 140

Plus they were almost 10 years apart.

I would take Cotto, being younger and bigger. Altough Kindelan is a great, those advantages would be too much IMO.

Kindelan is far more skilled than Cotto could dream of being, i'd take him to repeat his performance in the pros
