    Cotto fought a couple of guys who beat him in the amateurs and whupped them good as pros. He'd probably win this one too.

      Dont be so sure, Kindelan was one hell of a boxer. He was much better than Abdullev. He was one of outstanding amatuers of the last decade. just a shame we never got to see him as a pro.

        yea. one of the best cuban boxers. great speed, great footwork, moves good..he wooped cotto big time in that fight. (2-20)

            Cotto does not stand a chance against kindelan. Kindelan also destroyed Trinidad in the amateurs.

                The win was at the 1998 Central American and Caribbean Games in Maracaibo, Venezuela. And Cotto's style is more of a pro style than an amatuer style. Not to mention he was 17 at the time. Kindelan was an excellent boxer, who knows how well he would have done if he went pro.
