Which "Cinderella Man" book ? There were at least 3 of them and only ONE had a source list in the back. I've checked the quotes/claims in the other 2 and they took the quotes out of context to make Max appear like a ****. Jeremy Schaap's sources are truthful and presented in full context, the others appear to have an ax to grind.

- -Needless to say, boxing forums overflow their effluent in boxing experts, yet noone, NOONE has been able to explain why the backhand is illegal much less justify why it should be illegal.

I figured out an innocuous reason, but don't wish to pollute any assumptions you may have on the subject.
