Jack Dempsey turned down a fight with Sam Langford.

Johnson toyed with most every opponent he fought in his prime.
Black fighters were told to go easy when fighting white opponents in those days. Going against the rules would ensure an inability to get fights.
Eye witness testimony tells the tale. Johnson beat Langford to a pulp. Johnson was head and shoulders superior to his black heavyweight contemporaries. Really not disputable. One look is all it takes. Johnson defensive abilities at short range was second to none. It he chose to box at long range he could do this as well.Comment

- -Nobody but U disputes the fight.
Here are 3 published accounts in the day showing different perspectives about weight, height, and what transpired.
Not Disputable!
JJ knew he couldn't live with Sam while JJ held the title.
U candy melting.

Nope! It’s well understood it was a one sided bout. Langfords manager admitted this himself years later. Boxing 101. Study up.Comment

And once again the point is that BOTH fighters would have weighed much more and both would have been more experienced had they fought during Johnson’s championship reign.Comment

U refuse to admit JJ had 9 years experience when they fought and this Sams acclimation year at heavy.
Why did Blackburn kick JJ out of the Louis camp while treating Sam like a King?
I know and Blackburn knew, but U never privileged to know, hence U squabbling tears.Comment

Not the point. Try to understand. It’s very difficult for you we know.
Both fighters would weigh more and both would have been more experienced. Johnson would have been around 208 pounds. He was ripped at this weight as champion. Langford around 180-185 tops. We are talking 1908-1912 time frame.
At the time when Johnson and Langford fought Johnson typically weighed 185 pounds. Langford around 156 pounds.
Again both would weight more. Both would have been more experienced.
Johnson was considered “head and shoulders” better than Langford.Comment

I already gave U ignorance his best year, 1912-13 where he already seized JJ ignoble crown in France where JJ a no show where Sam up to 200 lbs.
Fax is strange fruit for U fussy fantasies.Comment
