    - -Maybe 1912-13 Sam's best years in his Tour of Australia with Jeanette and McVea, 13-1-2 and 5-0-2 in HOF fights.

JJ still champ and Sam already won his title in France in an epic fight. We can assume JJ laid low as any natural skulker would anytime Sam and Jeannette were about.

Sam weight during his grand tour where he was feted as a King was 168-200.

Why I still gotta purée U steak and spoon feed U?

Anything over 180 Langford was overweight. Johnson could hold 200-210 easy and be cut.

Point is both men improved between the time they fought and Johnson’s championship years. It was not just Langford.

        - -Only thing larded in U is intellect.

        28 yrs @ 185 against 23 yr old 156 lb Sam.

        30 yrs @194 vs 168 lb Tommy.

PRIME yrs, but of course slapping the flab of U larded intellect around does nothing for the lack of intellectual gravitas U be stuck in.

You again miss the point. When they fought BOTH Johnson and Langford were lighter and less experienced as compared to the 1908-1912 time period. Johnson in shape during that period was a 200-210 pound heavyweight. Langford to be in shape would need to be no more than 180-185.

Thus it’s not just a question of Langford being better and heavier. It was the case for both fighters.

Learn to read. I know it’s tough for you.

Both Johnson and Langford were less experienced and lighter in weight when they fought than if they fought during Johnson’s prime championship years.

It is not a question that only Langford would be heavier and more experienced. BOTH men would be heavier and more experienced.

                - -W u light in the loafers wanna be hvywt?

I gave U Sam best two years and wts where he is trumping JJ in spades.

In JJ 6 yr title years with one of the most pitiable title reigns in history, Sam amassed a record better than JJ entire career.

Shame U n'er able to decipher boxrec.

U regressed from U poor showing washerwomanish AOL days, impossible but true!

Sorry you are wrong 98% of the time.

When they fought Johnson sent Langford to the hospital. Estimated weights for this bout were 156 for Langford and 185 for Johnson. Johnson had about 50 bouts at that point and Langford about 60.

Flash forward to say 1910 Johnson is fighting at 208 pounds and he is ripped. Langford, in shape, is 185 at best probably 180 to be in as good of shape as Johnson.

So both fighters would be larger and both more experienced had they fought circa 1910. Outcome probably won’t be much different.

                    - -Sam going to hospital for a few stitches means much to U league of washerwomen.

I'll take Joe and Harry's assessment in rating Sam over JJ over yours 24/7/365.

Read it and weep for thee glee club.

No. Langford was beaten to a pulp. Dropped several times. Only Johnson letting up on his attack spared Langford a ko loss here. Far more than a few stitches.
