However, in all fairness to Holmes, Larry was past his prime by this time.

larry had begun fading fr the weaver fight. in my opinion he was very lucky to win against witherspoon and williams . micheal spinks wasn't that special; larry holmes luck just ran out!

It's been a while since I've scored it; but I think I had Larry escaping with a draw.

        Erm...Butterfly, the Holmes-Spoon fight only went 12.

Yeah, I meant the 12th, not the 15th.

What ever happened to Tim after this fight? The tops of the heavies at this time basically became overshadowed by the middleweights, and later by Tyson.
I remember thinking it could go either way, not seen it in ages tho. When i watch big fights now i score them round by round as if i was judgeing coz sumtimes when sum1 is "bringing it" espesially down the stretch u can get the impression they won but when u watch again and actually score it, u can realise they didnt

larry was on the decline he had recently nearly lost against weaver (managed to get a late KO)

then got the decison against witherspoon and williams. IMO both were ahead on points but perhaps not enough to take a champs belt
