Sugar Ray Robinson has been hailed as the Greatest fighter of all time, pound for pound, at middleweight, is he still greater than Monzon and Hagler, they all had equally impressive lists of fellow greats and hall of famers they faced, but does SRR winning the middleweight title 5 times (only because he keeps on losing it as Monzon pointed out) gets more merit than the consistency of Monzon and Hagler reigning for 7 years, defending the MW title longer (oh yes, modern day great Hopkins made 20 defenses)

Ray Robinson was 65-17-5 at middleweight and he was out of his prime at middleweight. So no, i dont think its fair to rate him number one at both weight classes. I will give that honour to both monzon and hagler.

Lamotta also was forced to fight at light heavy as he often struggled to make middle in the latter half of his career. Lamotta was in no way a natural 147 pounder.
