I didn't mean to, Versa.

But if I can be honest, I think you make a much better fighter than poster, as I've seen some of your sparring videos and I must say that I'm very impressed with the natural boxing/fighting ability you possess. There was definately something there to be impressed by, and if you keep working hard at it with training and such, who the hell knows what the future may hold for you...The sky's the limit for you, my friend.

I wouldn't disagree with any of the names you posted.. I cant fathom why K-Dogg didn't come in on the 1st ballot.. but whatever.. HOWEVER I think alot of people on this site have good boxing Knowledge .. Whats missing is an open mind.. and maturity

Versatile you are also a very good poster and a smart guy who is able to be a fan of Tyson while acknowledging at the same time that he was not a perfect fighter or the greatest of all times.

Also like Yogi said, you have serious potential in boxing. You have some serious explosive power, but you need to work very hard at it if you want to make a living in the sport some day. I actually do think you should spend more time running. Roadwork will do wonders for your overall balance and stamina, and with them every aspect of your game.

Smartest Members on the topics of boxing history and/or boxing as a whole...
So anyway who do you think the smartest boxingscene member is..I'm gunna suggest a few names that I think round out about the top 5 or so...maybe make a poll..,.

I've wanted to make this thread for awhile just to see who people actually think is the smartest...

but here's who I think the top guys are...

Yogi

Yogi IMO is the smartest guy on the boxingscene forums. His knowledge of fighters from nearly every weight division goes all the way back to the beginning of boxing. As far as I can tell he never flames people, he just says his peace and lets people fight. He's very well read from what he's said. Yogi (as far as I know) doesn't talk to much about current boxers, not to say he doesn't know any, but thats the only place I see something not there..

Kid Achilles

Kid Achilles to me is one of the smartest members on Boxingscene...When you read his posts you can tell he's unbiased, and has a vast knowledge of fighters past and present. He's also one of the few that can honestly talk to Yogi about different fighters without making himself look foolish (whereas most people maybe able to talk to Yogi about one fighter and hold there own but not many)...

SuzieQ49
SuzieQ is another guy who knows what he's talking about, and is one of the only guys who stands up for the old fighters (pre 60's). He knows what he's talking about and rarely gets caught off gaurd...
K-Dogg is a sharp guy............

Yeah even if its mostly muscle 180 lbs is just way too much for your height. Even at welterweight you'd be at a significant height disadvantage, let alone at middleweight or higher. Getting that weight down is going to be a top priority to you in your career, as well as keeping it down between fights. I've heard you say you eat fast food twice a day? That is going to have to stop ASAP. Way too many calories there.

That's what I like about, Versa...He may be one of the biggest Tyson fans on here, but unlike some of the others, he always keeps things pretty real with his thoughts/opinions, and doesn't go overboard at all with his praise of Mike.

God knows I've had a number of disagreements on here in regards to Tyson, but beyond one or two very minor disagreements with him, Versa & I have never butted heads with Mike as the subject (or any other subject).

I also admit to lol'ing more than once at his well-timed "shutups" to Butterfly.

Yeah Versa you are definitely a good poster here and you come off as just a well meaning good guy who can smell bull**** from a mile away and who isn't easily duped by hype. You are one of the least biased people on this site I think when it comes to discussing contemporary fighters.
