      Smartest Members on the topics of boxing history and/or boxing as a whole...
      So anyway who do you think the smartest boxingscene member is..I'm gunna suggest a few names that I think round out about the top 5 or so...maybe make a poll..,.

      I've wanted to make this thread for awhile just to see who people actually think is the smartest...

      but here's who I think the top guys are...

      Yogi

      Yogi IMO is the smartest guy on the boxingscene forums. His knowledge of fighters from nearly every weight division goes all the way back to the beginning of boxing. As far as I can tell he never flames people, he just says his peace and lets people fight. He's very well read from what he's said. Yogi (as far as I know) doesn't talk to much about current boxers, not to say he doesn't know any, but thats the only place I see something not there..

      Kid Achilles

      Kid Achilles to me is one of the smartest members on Boxingscene...When you read his posts you can tell he's unbiased, and has a vast knowledge of fighters past and present. He's also one of the few that can honestly talk to Yogi about different fighters without making himself look foolish (whereas most people maybe able to talk to Yogi about one fighter and hold there own but not many)...

      SuzieQ49
      SuzieQ is another guy who knows what he's talking about, and is one of the only guys who stands up for the old fighters (pre 60's). He knows what he's talking about and rarely gets caught off gaurd...
      I can't argue with that list.

        Yea I forgot to add Sabbath but I haven't seen him around lately...I acknowledged Smashers knowledge awhile ago but he got Banned....K-Dogg is smart guy, and I don't see much of BrassAngel anymore, and to the best of my memory I don't even know who cple is....

          There's so many intelligent boxing fans on here and it's really hard seperating one as being even more-so than the others. But if I was splitting hairs, then I think the following three deserve special mention as they have consistently expressed a great deal of knowledge in their posts;

          Sabbath, K-Dogg, and Kid Achilles.

          No suprises there, I don't think, judging by the other responses, but by no means are they the only ones who have impressed the hell out of me with their posts and I give mention to just a few more who have since I first signed up here;

          Cple, Jabs, Gringo, Greek, Wez, Barryboy, LRR, Asian, Wmute, SuzieQ (i.e. Brockton...have trouble calling him by a girl's name) Hellfire, Heckler, Jose, M26, Marvdave, Stinger, Sonny, Dirt E, Raging Bull, Rock (the complimentary thread starter), ElG, Shaolin Bushido (the last two I'm more familiar with on another board), Butterfly, etc., etc...That's off the top of me head only, so I apologize in advance if I forgot about naming somebody. Also, if some of you think I could be included as one who is in that grouping, then I can only feel honoured to be as such.

          P.S. If I was to compare his posts from today to those from my memory of when he first started, Butterfly EASILY gets the "most improved" award from me.

                Anorak is a smart guy as well when it comes to discussing contemporary fighters. Great sense of humor too, which is a sign of intelligence in itself.

                  I must admit that, even though I'm familiar with his name and have been for some time, I don't believe I've read too much from Anorak with me being mostly a non-NSB poster and such.

                    Ah, I just saw Yaman online and have to add him to that list...He occasionly gets into the mudslinging contests on here, but he usually has some very good things to say when not doing so, and I'll freely admit to enjoying more than a few of his posts that he's put forth on here.
