Retired former five division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26KOs) has been making the rounds in Europe, visiting several cities and creating mob scenes with many fans pursuing the fighter for autographs and photos.

Mayweather retired in September after a 19 year career and maintains that there are absolutely no plans to return to the ring in 2016.

During his time in Eastern Europe, Mayweather was spoke with Match TV regarding his career, explaining that one of his biggest accomplishments was changing the way fighters got paid in the lower weight divisions. Mayweather says the heavyweight division was the main focus, for money and television exposure, for a very long time. He feels that his career changed all of that for the better.

"As a professional fighter, I completely changed the sport. At one time everyone was only interested in the big guys - the heavyweights. And when I came into boxing, everyone started paying attention to my weight class. I was at super featherweight, then lightweight champion. Then I moved from one division to another," Mayweather said.

"As I was growing, the number of fans who followed my career grew with me, and because of that more and more boxing fans got to learn about this sport. So we rewrote history."
