Heavyweights Tony Yoka and Carlos Takam clash on January 15 at the Accor Arena in Paris, France, on a Ringstar promotion..

Yoka (11-0) has fought some decent guys in the past but Takam (39-6-1) represents a step up in class even if his best days seem to be behind him.

Dominic Boesel beat Robin Krasniqi on October 9 in Magdeburg on a close split decision. Krasniqi and his team, was, to put it mildly, not happy with the decision and claimed it was more or less "fixed" and appealed the decision to both the German Federation, the BDB, and the IBO.

BILD brings today a story where Team Krasniqi publish a chat history between Puetz and his daughter Karoline, who is an official  with the BDB and was one of the judges in Boesel vs Krasniqi. Puetz reports to Karoline that he will be supervisor and she will be a judge and in fact all officials will be Germans in what was an all-German matchup. And that seems to be it, even if Team Krasniqi claims there is more coming.

Just for the record: Boesel vs Krasniqi II was close, in fact very close - but a robbery in no way. If it was fixed, well, then they sure made it exciting and hard fought all the way.

What's next for former world champ Felix Sturm?  The 42-year old returned in late 2020 after four years out and beat Timo Rost with Universum promoting his comeback.

This was followed by another points win, this time over James Kraft in June, and there talks of big German fights against the like of Vincent Feigenbutz or Juergen Braehmer. but nothing materialized.

BILD wrote recently that Sturm and Universum are no longer collaborating. As to what is next for the ex-champ it's an open question but time is not on his side in regards of professional boxing.

Emre Cukur (17-0) fights Frenchman Matteo Hache (8-0) on Saturday (Nov 20) in Munich, Germany, with the vacant WBA Continental title at stake. If all goes well, Cukur will then take on Jack Cullen (20-2-1) on December 18 in Manchester with the vacant EBU 168 lb at stake.

Is it possible? In the good old days this was nothing special but in today's boxing it's not very likely with two 12-rounders inside four weeks.
