Wilder: When Bell Sounds, Scott is No Longer a Friend

Wilder is going to Donkey Kong punch Malik Scott. Than he gunna party with him.... next weekend once Malik recovers from a concussion. I really wanna get excited about Wilder. I consider him almost a local guy because Tuscalusa isn't but about three hours from Nashville. I actually attended his pro debut when Jermain Taylor fought Jeff Lacy here in Nashville. The problem for me is, Wilder doesn't seem much more polished than he was when I watched him in the Olympics. I've seen very lil growth from a technical standpoint. And I think that's gonna bite him in the *** as the climbs the ladder. I think his team has done him a huge disservice matching him the way they have. Because 30 fights deep, he's basically become a guy that depends soley on his speed, athleticism, and power. I can see the speed. I can see the athleticism. Don't know about the power. The further you move his the ladder, the better the chins get. So we'll see what happens.

I guess it depends on how you view the belts. Personally, I'm more of a lineal title guy. Also, more times than not The Ring magazine champ generally is the guy the majority see as tops in the division. So I'm cool with their belt. As for the ABC belts, I don't put a lotta stock in them. Especially if there's a lineal or Ring champ in the division. Which brings me to Wilder. With Vitali gone, there's clearly an established champ in Wladimir. So the WBC belt means nothing to me. If Wilder gets past Scott, and then wins the BC afterwards. Personally, I'd simply view it as him establishing himself as a legitimate contender to Wlad. And as long as Wlad is there and keeps winning. I won't view anybody in that division as a legitimate champ without seein' Wlad. I gave a bit more respect to the BC belt when Vitali had it. Because IMO he had a legitimate claim to the lineal title. But with him not in the mix. That belt is worth about as much as the paper I drop in the toilet after taking a sh1t. Well said. Not sure why your in the red, but i can take a stab at it with all the trolling and protection for a certain fighter who's name you cannot mention in a bad post, lest you get red k'd into oblivion.
