Euro News: Firat Arslan, Ali Eren Demirezen, Karo Murat, More

Swedish Fight Life Promotion and Albanian GG New York Promotions join forces for a show in Shkodir (Albania) on September 21. Headlining the bill are Swedish heavyweight Pezhman Seifkhani (10-0) and Croatian light heavyweight Marko Calic (9-0). Seifkhani, reigning RBO king, takes on Andras Balasz Farkas (5-5) while Calic is in against Balasz Horvath (31-27). Both fights are scheduled for eight.

The second edition of Norway Fight Night goes ahead at Kolstad Arena in Trondheim on Saturday (Sep 14). The show is topped by super middleweight Anders Eggan (4-0) taking on Ukrainian Volodymyr Romanenko (8-8) but the best matchup on the bill is between cruisers Simen Nysaether (7-0) and Swedish champ Samo Jangirov (4-1-1). Nysaether is overall the better fighter but Jangirov´s toughness and all out style make for exciting fights.

Former WBA cruiser king 48-year old Firat Arslan (46-8-3) takes on Finland´s Sami Enbom (18-4) on September 14 at the Verti Music Hall in Berlin. Enbom has accepted the fight this week and comes in off two stoppage losses this year while Arslan has won his last two. At the same time Father Time could be a factor in this one.

 In the headliner of this CP Boxevents show super lightweights Rico Mueller (25-2-1) and Jeremias Nicolas Ponce (24-0) clash for the vacant IBO title.

Light heavyweight Konni Konrad (24-2-1) is in against still tough Frenchman Nadjib Mohammedi (41-8) in the headliner of a Blanko Sports Promotion, also September 14, but in Friedrichshafen.

Konrad turned pro in 2002 but have had long layoffs after his losses. In 2006 he lost to Denis Inkin and was out for four years and in 2015 he was stopped by Juergen Braehmer and that led to a layoff  for three years.

In the co-feature Anatoli Muratov (21-2)  As for Mohammedi he´s been in with the best and didn´t quite make it but at a level below he is still a force.

EC Boxing´s planned show in Istanbul October 25 is canceled. Both heavyweight Ali Eren Demirezen and light heavyweight Karo Murat were forced to pull out due to injuries and when the super middleweight fight between Emre Cukur and Jack Paskali fell through it was decided to pull the plug on the show.
