O2 Arena, London - British middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. (23-1, 18KOs) is ready for much bigger thing after stopping previously undefeated Tom Doran (17-1, 7KOs) in the fourth round.  Doran went down four times in the contest.

Eubank Jr. showed his speed and accuracy at the star. Doran was not intimidated and did well in spots, but Eubank Jr. was landing very clean shots. In the third round, Eubank really picked up the pace with big punches to the head and body. Doran eventually went down from a barrage of punches. He beat the count, but Eubank was now just looking for the finish with big shots flying with both hands.

During the fourth, series of body shots sent Doran down for a second time. Once again Doran got up and he was crushed by more shots that sent him down a third time. After another series of shots, Doran went down for a fourth time and the fight was waved off.

Eubank Jr. now moves forward to a potential fight against WBC/IBO/WBA/IBF middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs) in the fall. The negotiations are ongoing between both sides and Eubank's promoter, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, says a deal is very close.

"This has the potential to be one of the biggest fights in British boxing history I believe - it's huge," Eubank Jr told Simon Crawford. "With the reputation he has, to take that scalp - and to do it in England -  then that's history and would have to go down as one of the biggest wins by a British fighter.

"Tom Doran is not Gennady Golovkin and I know everything now must be upped from now on. Everything has to be pinpoint as you can't go into a fight like that unless you are 100 per cent. I was 50 per cent against Doran but by the time I get to Golovkin I will be 100 percent.

"My training camp for Golovkin has now started and this [beating Doran] is just the beginning. I'll be back in the gym on Sunday and the training camp will go on. I don't have a 9-5, I have a 24-7.

"I'm not a conventional fighter and the way to beat someone like Golovkin is to do things unconventionally. Do you think I'm going to do the same things all of the other guys have done? You have to do things that are different and I've got a few tricks up my sleeve.
