The time is finally here. Erik Morales and Manny Pacquiao get ready to stage a war in Las Vegas. Morales and Pacquaio put their careers on the line in what will be the most important fight in the careers of both fighters.

Erik Morales has more to lose then anyone else in this fight. Morales is coming off a huge loss to Mexican rival Marco Antonio Barrera. Due mostly to his loss to Barrera, Morales lost his stature as the best fighter from Mexico.

Morales has gone on the record and said that there is no other way for him to win this fight other then knocking out Manny Pacquiao. A decision is not enough for Morales and he is ready to chin check Paquiao in the early rounds.

Pacquiao does not think Morales can fight at a high pace and plans to begin his assault from the start of round number one. Pacquiao feels that if he attacks Morales early, he will break him down and put him away in the late rounds.

Marco Antonio Barrera and Juan Manuel Marquez will both be watching this fight with financial interest in mind. Marquez priced himself out of a potential rematch with Pacquiao and Morales stepped in to take his place. Barrera has revenge in mind and wants to face Paquiao again down the road. This is Pacquia's first fight at 130 pounds and possible the last one for Erik Morales. Morales has made his intentions of moving up to 135 pounds very public.

Is Morales going to be able to deal with Pacquiao's speed? Is Pacquiao going to be quick at 130 pounds? Which man will back the other man up? All of these questions and more, will be answered ina few short hours.

Round 1 - Morel is jabbing, Castillo seems laid back and trying to figure Morel out. Morel with a good shot, Castillo comes back with four very hard bodyshots. Very cautious round, goes to Castillo. HBO gives the first to Morel.

Round 2 - They come out cautious again with Morel keeps his distance and pumps a jab. Castillo trying to close the gap and with a short job. Morel with some bodyshots. Crowd is booing for the lack of action so far. They continue with a jabbing match. The exchange a few shots, nothing big lands for either fighter. Castillo tries to get inside, but Morel keeps him off with a jab. Castillo with some body shots and gets Morel to the ropes to land more body damage. The two exchange shots against the ropes as the bell sounds. Round 2 I score for Castillo.

Round 3 - Morel is turning conventional and lands a good right hand and another. Castillo gets a warning for a low blow. Morel starts landing some good jabs. Castillo with a some good punches to the head and body of Morel. Close round that goes to Morel.

Round 4 - Morel with more jabs, Castillo trying to get in with some hard shots. Morel keeping his distance, but Castillo is closing the gap and landing some good shots. Round for Castillo.

Round 5 - Castillo starting to come on and goes to the body with some clean bombs. Morel with a double left hook. Castillo still coming hard with some big punches. Castillo seems to have a cut above his left eye. Another round for class.

Round 6 - Both guys throwing some strong jabs. Castillo with hard left hook to Morel's cheek. Castillo with hard right. Some good bodyshots now by Castillo. Morel now starting to back up more then often. Another round for Castillo.

Round 7 - Castillo is now starting to clsoe the gap once again, both men getting tied up quite often in thsi round. Morel is moving around and trying to stay away from the hard shots of Castillo. Left-right from Morel. The two fighters trade at the bell. Pretty boring round that I will give to Morel.

Round 8 - Castillo rushing Morel and attacking with hard bodyshots.Morel gets away and starts pumping the jab at Castillo. They are trading shots from the inside. Castillo with a hard right. Big bodyshots from Castillo. Another round for Castillo.

Round 9 - Both guys go back to fighting a very good inside fight. Now Castillo backs ip and starts landing more hard bodyshots. Morel jabbing. Castillo is kanding some very hard shots to the head and body of Morel.Another round for Castillo.

Round 10 - Some very good shots from Castillo to the head. Morel looks pretty weak at this point. The fight slowing down to an even slower pace. Clash of heads, now Castillo is cut over the right eye. Doctor checks on the cut, fight resumes. Another round for Castillo.

Round 11 - Castillo is pumpin more damage on the Morel on the inside. Morel trying to come on, but Castillo is still coming forward and landing some damage. Morel really tryting to come on, he knows he needs a KO to win, but Castillo is not letting him get the advantage. Another round for class

Round 12 - Castillo and Morel are starting to trade, but Castillo is getting the better of the exchange. Castillo pushing Morel around and landing more good shots. Fight ends and Castillo is the likely winner. HBO has it scored 118-110 for Castillo. I have it 119-108 for Castillo. 119-109 by all judges and still WBA super flyweight champion. Martin Castillo.

Next bout coming up is Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. against Ryan Maraldo in a 6 round bout. Chavez weighed 139 and is now 154 pounds backstage, Maraldo is 152 backstage.

Round 1 - Huge Chavez chant. Maraldo comes out strong and tries taking it to Chavez. Chavez now starts to unload some good punches. Big left on the chin of Maraldo. Maraldo looks shaky on his feet. Chavez keeps coming forward with big shots. Good round for Chavez.

Round 2 - Chavez goes right back to work, landing some big shots to the head and body. Chavez gets warned for a low blow and loses a point. Now Chavez lands several huge shots on the head and body of Marlado. Chavez really starts to beat on Maraldo, giving him some big punishment. Maraldo has a huge cut under his eye. Big round for Chavez.

Ropund 3 - Maraldo flying back from every punch. Maraldo seems like he has given up on winning and is trying to survive now. Maraldo gets hit with a big uppercut. Chavez with a big right hand. Left-right by Chavez. Chavez beating Maraldo against the ropes. Huge left by Chavez and the ref finally stops the fight. Chavez with a big three round TKO win.

Jorge Arce defeated Aussie fighter Hussein Hussein in what will be in the running for fight of the year. The fight looked to be over in the first round when Hussein was hurt bad moments into the first round. Hussein was able to regain his legs and the two fighters staged an all out war with big shots landed by both men over the stretch of 12 hard fought rounds. Arce had a very bad cut on his nose and it appeared that the doctor may stop the fight at anytime due to the bad bleeding.

In the tenth round, Hussein was hurt very bad and Arce just landed power shot after power shot until Hussein went down. Hussein beat the count, but his trainer Jeff Fenech ran in to stop the fight. Arce getting a huge win and the crowd was very hot.

Erik Morales is 140 pounds tonight and Manny Pacquiao is 139 pounds tonight, both men are coming in as junior welterweights.

Manny Pacquiao comes to the ring first and is getting booed pretty loud by the Mexican crowd. Seems to be more a Mexican crowd in the house then Filipino fans. Erik Morales comes to the ring to a very loud reaction from the Mexcican crowd.

Round 1 - They come out slow, both fighters showing respect. Huge Manny chant starts. Quick jab by Manny. Bodyshot by Morales. Left by Pacquiao. Big left by Pacquiao and Morels starts to unload. Pacquiao says come on and Morales starts to unload the kitchen. The two men go to war, Morales getting the better of the action. Pacquiao with some hard bodyshots, Morales is hurt to the body. Round 12 - They come out slow. Huge right by Manny on Morales as he turns southpaw for no reason. The two go to war, the entire arena is on it's feet. Manny and Morales are going for broke. Manny landing some huge shots. Big right by Morales. Manny is coming on strong, Morales is tired. They trade in the final ten seconds. It's over. WHAT A FIGHT! FIGHT OF THE YEAR EASY!
