MGM GRAND, LAS VEGAS, NV - A rematch between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury is penciled in for February 22nd in Las Vegas.  Their first fight took place last December and ended in a split draw.  Fury was up on points on two cards going into the last round when a knockdown that almost stopped Fury pulled out a draw for Wilder.

Everything is now in place for the rematch to take place, after Wilder knocked out Luis Ortiz in the seventh round of their rematch on Saturday night.

Mayweather Promotion's CEO Leonard Ellerbe, who co-promoted Wilder-Ortiz 2 along with TGB Promotions, believes everyone will see a much different outcome in a Wilder-Fury rematch.

"I think that Tyson Fury, he is a big personality and he talks a lot but I think he knows what the outcome is going to be if he steps in the ring with Wilder again. I think he senses it because of the second half, the way the fight went. Plus Wilder has gotten better since they fought," Ellerbe told BoxingScene.com.

Since that fight Wilder has the KO of Ortiz and also stopped mandatory challenger Dominic Breazeale in a single round while Fury obliterated Thomas Schwarz  in 2 rounds and then suffered a bad cut in a tough points win over Otto Wallin.

Breazeale and Ortiz are clearly greater competition than Schwarz and Wallin which leads Ellerbe to believe that Wilder is still improving while Fury has leveled off a bit.

"He did stagnate. He is a tremendous boxer, especially for a heavyweight. He has mad skills but Deontay has added things to his arsenal which in my opinion I think Deontay Wilder will knock him out within 5 rounds," Ellerbe explained while also stating that he believes Wilder will be much more confident in the sequel.

"Wilder has been in there with him now and he knows that he wasn't patient and he rushed in looking for the knockout out early in the first fight and I think the knockout will just come this time because of some of the things he and  (trainer) Jay (Deas) have been working on to offset some of what Fury brings to the table."
