Jarrell Miller’s career can still be rebuilt, according to his promoter Dmitriy Salita

VDmitriy Salita has insisted that Wladimir Shishkin is a more worthy opponent for Saul “Canelo” Alvarez than is Edgar Berlanga

Dmitriy Salita wants to use Salita Promotions’ Big Time Boxing USA series to revive boxing in Detroit and to stage regular fights in New York. Ardreal Holmes Jr’s victory over Marlon Harrington at Detroit’s Wayne State Fieldhouse on February 20 represented the start of their broadcast agreement with DAZN, and Salita, who once fought out of the city’s revered Kronk gym, hopes that it will be the first of many.

Salita Promotions will launch the inaugural “Big Time Boxing USA” event streaming live on DAZN with a night of fights on Tuesday, February 20 headlined by a 10-round all-Michigan showdown as Flint’s Ardreal Holmes Jr. defends his USBA super welterweight championship against Detroit’s Marlon Harrington topping a card from Wayne State Fieldhouse in Detroit.

Promoter Dmitriy Salita says he was thoroughly taken aback by his client Jarrell Miller’s latest snafu. Fresh off a career-worst beatdown administered by Daniel Dubois last month in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Miller, the outspoken heavyweight contender from Brooklyn, New York, was arrested on carjacking and burglary charges in Florida a few days into the new year.

Dmitriy Salita, promoter for undisputed middleweight champion Claressa Shields, has no issue with exploring the possibility of a rematch with Savannah Marshall, who holds three world titles at 168-pounds.

Dmitriy Salita, promoter for heavyweight contender Jarrell Miller, explains that his boxer must make good on his big moment on Saturday in Saudi Arabia, where he faces top contender Daniel Dubois.

A date is now attached for a long in-play mandatory title fight. BoxingScene.com has learned that the Subriel Matias-Shohjahon Ergashev IBF junior welterweight title bout will take place November 4 as part of a Showtime Championship Boxing event. A location was not yet finalized as this goes to publication.

A few days ago, it was revealed that Mahmoud Charr - as part of a legal settlement with the World Boxing Association - regained the WBA "regular" heavyweight title. Charr, 38-years-old, was also ordered to make a mandatory defense against undefeated contender Jarrell Miller.

Two-division world champion Natasha Jonas is still very much interested in facing unbeaten Claressa Shields. Last year, Jonas moved up in weight by several divisions to capture three world titles at the junior middleweight limit of 154-pounds.
