IBF super middleweight champion James DeGale is fully supporting  Kell Brook, who holds the IBF welterweight crown, as his fight approaches with IBO/IBF/WBA/WBC middleweight king Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin.

Brook is moving up by thirteen pounds to challenge Golovkin at the full middleweight limit of 160-pounds.

The contest takes place at the on Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London. HBO and Sky Box Office will carry the event.

DeGale finds it very difficult to pick Brook to take down Golovkin, but he does believe the Sheffield fighter will provide a very stern test for the feared puncher.

DeGale, an Olympic gold medal winner, says Brook must utilize his advantage in speed if he wants to stands a chance in beating Golovkin.

"I honestly think it's going to be a good scrap," DeGale told Sky Sports. "It's hard to look past Golovkin, it's hard to think that a welterweight is going to beat him. But Brook is a very, very big welterweight. There is not much size difference. He's come from good pedigree, he's unbeaten, he's confident. If he uses his feet, his speed, I think he could give him trouble. Hopefully he pulls it off, but it's hard to look past Golovkin,"

"You would have to go with the favourite, but I'm hoping Kell Brook can pull off the shock and beat him and become a two-time world champion, 100 percent."

DeGale is expected to enter into a unification with WBC champion Badou Jack by the end of this year. Should DeGale win, he's been mentioned as a possible opponent for Golovkin next year.

"Golovkin is a beast," said DeGale. "He's pound-for-pound probably one of the best in the world, but when he moves up in weight, I think he's going to get tested. I'm not taking anything away from Golovkin - the guy is a beast, he's a monster, but I look forward to beating him in the future, 100 percent."

"I'm three or four inches taller than him. I'm physically bigger than him and when he steps up, he will get tested. If that fight ever got offered to me, I would jump straight in there with Golovkin and be confident of beating him."
