Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya says announcement is coming very soon for the fall mega-clash between WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico and Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

The Cotto vs. Canelo fight is reportedly heading to the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on November 21 and on HBO Pay-Per-View.

De La Hoya would not confirm the venue, but admitted the Mandalay Bay was in the running and he views it as a great place to host such a fight. The Mandalay Bay hosted De La Hoya's fight with Felix 'Tito' Trinidad.

"That's the truth I'm really excited. The boxing rivalry between Puerto Rico and Mexico is the best rivalry in sports," said De La Hoya to ESPN Deportes. "These are historic fights, fights with lots of action that people like to see."

"The Mandalay Bay is an exciting arena. They fit like 14,000 people in Mandalay, but every seat, every person will have an excellent view of the. You are right on top of all the action. If you're buying a cheaper ticket, maybe you'll have the best view of all. That's where I had the fight against Trinidad, where I fought Vargas. It is a historic and very nice boxing arena."
