Pierce O’Leary won the battle of Dublin as the 24-year-old super lightweight produced one of the most well-rounded performances of his career to comprehensively outpoint Darragh Foley.

Pierce O’Leary will headline Queensberry Promotions’ return to Belfast when he headlines against Darragh Foley at the SSE Arena on Friday, June 28.

Jack Catterall ended his second consecutive lengthy layoff with a dominant performance. The former title challenger—many who have hailed as the uncrowned 140-pound champion—backed up his claim of being levels above Australia’s Darragh Foley. Catterall scored two knockdowns en route to a lopsided decision win. Scores 99-88, 98-89 and 97-90 all landed in favor of Catterall in their DAZN-aired co-feature Saturday evening from AO Arena in Manchester, England.

Eddie Hearn wants to make sure there are no hitches in the fight schedule of Regis Prograis. The WBC 140-pound titlist from New Orleans recently inked a multi-fight promotional deal with Hearn’s Matchroom. His first fight on the new contract will take place June 17 against late replacement Danielito Zorrilla at Smooth King Center in Prograis’ hometown; Prograis was originally supposed to take on Liam Paro, but the Australian contender suffered an injury.

Jack Catterall wants to be known as more than an uncrowned champion. The first step towards another crack at the division’s top prize finally comes this weekend, as Catterall ends an unwelcomed 15-month ring hiatus. The former title challenger will face Darragh Foley (22-4-1, 10KOs) in a scheduled ten-round junior welterweight matchup this Saturday on DAZN from AO Arena in Manchester, England.

Leigh Wood is now the only main event fighter eligible to fight for his old title. Rumors of weight struggles for Mauricio Lara were confirmed prior to the start of Friday’s official pre-fight weigh-in. A weight check during fight week prompted the British Boxing Board of Control to deem it unsafe for Lara to attempt to make the 126-pound featherweight limit on Friday. The BBBofC set a minimum limit of 128 ½ pounds for which Lara could step on the scale. The development will likely result in his being stripped of the WBA featherweight title.

Robbie Davies Jr. has his eyes set on a ring return to the ring before the end of the year –– despite still recovering. The Liverpool super-lightweight boxed as recently as last month when he retired in the third round of 10 scheduled in his home city.

Robbie Davies Jr. has taken to social media to issue an update on his condition. The Liverpool super-lightweight was stopped after suffering a nasty-looking ankle injury on Saturday night.
