In the last two weeks, UFC President Dana White has viciously attacked Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya and Showtime Sports head Stephen Espinoza.

Those feuds have been escalating for years.

White himself has discussed the scenario of entering the boxing business with his own promotional company for the last two years.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, White is currently focusing all of his energy on the UFC.

White has long been a critic of the boxing business model. On White's end, he has a near monopoly and the average televised UFC fighter makes far less than the average televised boxer.

But if White plans to enter boxing at some point, he will be forced to work with someone.

And that someone could be promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom.

"Things have changed a lot and I really need to focus my business, but [boxing's problems] can be fixed, and Eddie Hearn might be the guy to do it," White told The Athletic.

"When this pandemic is over, the strongest will survive. I don't know who it's going to be. Al Haymon is a brilliant guy, I like Al a lot, but the guy who is in a position of serious strength right now is Eddie Hearn.

"Eddie has some of the top guys in the world putting on these big heavyweight fights. I think Eddie is doing it right. When Eddie puts on a fight, he actually makes money. A lot of these other guys aren't making money.

"He's even more level-headed than I am. I can get crazy sometimes and snap and flip out - this guy is very level-headed and I actually like his style. He doesn't really fight with anybody. We all hate each other, we're always talking about each other, Eddie doesn't really play that game.

"Eddie is a pretty smooth dude and level-headed and it looks like he's running a good business, I'm not looking at his books, I don't know what his books look like, but it looks like he's running a pretty good business."
