Lightweight Floyd Schofield and Rene Tellez Giron are set for Saturday's 12-round bout at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas. The fight, airing on DAZN, was made official as both fighters weighed in at 134.4lbs.

The undercard support for a November 2 matchup between Floyd “Kid Austin” Schofield Jnr and Rene Tellez Giron has been finalized, Golden Boy Promotions announced on Friday.

Dalis Kaleiopu heard the scorecards for the first time in his young career. The 5’11” junior lightweight was forced to go all six rounds, as he outpointed Colombia’s Jonathan Perez. Scores were 60-52 on all three cards for Hawaii’s Kaleiopu in the opening bout of DAZN’s main show Saturday evening at The Walter Pyramid on the campus of California State University-Long Beach.

Joseph Diaz and Mercito Gesta were prepared to steal the show. They are now tasked with headlining the event. Both boxers embraced the new role as they weighed in for their scheduled 12-round junior welterweight contest. Diaz tipped the scales at a career-heaviest 139.4 pounds. Gesta was 137.2 pounds for his first fight in nearly a year.

In the co-main event, Shane Mosley, Jr. (18-4, 10 KOs) will return to the ring after successfully defeating Gabe Rosado via majority decision last April 2022. Mosley, Jr. will fight in a 10-round super middleweight fight against Chihuahua, Mexico’s Mario “Aguila” Lozano (33-10, 24 KOs). Lozano is coming off of a long layoff after a valiant effort against Liam “Beefy” Smith in August 2019.

Ramla Ali hardly broke a sweat as she maintained her undefeated record. The British-Somalian super bantamweight dropped Shelly Barnett twice in their eight-round bout en route to a second round stoppage at the USC Galen Center in Los Angeles.

Saturday, March 19 will see the return of Bektemir “Bully” Melikuziev (8-1, 6 KOs) of Indio, CA, who steps in the ring for the first time in 2022, to face seasoned veteran David “La Pantera” Zegarra (34-7, 21 KOs) of Lima, Peru. The fighters are set to face off in a 10-round light heavyweight fight as part of the DAZN broadcast.

Two exciting in-house battles between some of Golden Boy’s best talent will head to Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif. on the undercard of Diaz vs. Rakhimov as Ronny Rios (32-3, 16 KOs) and Oscar “El Jaguar” Negrete (19-2-2, 7 KOs) face off in a super bantamweight battle and Jason Quigley (18-1, 14 KOs) and Shane Mosley Jr. (16-3, 9 KOs) fight for the NABO Middleweight Title.
