T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas - Curtis Stevens (28-5, 21 KOs), in his first bout since the 2014 decision loss to Hassan N'dam, demolished previously undefeated middleweight contender Patrick Teixeira (26-1, 22 KOs) in two rounds.
Curtis came out with a lot of pressure and appeared to stagger Teixeira with every solid punch that connected. He had the unbeaten contender on the run for nearly the entire round.
In the second round, Stevens once again came out with the pressure and connected with a huge counter hook that sent Teixeira down on his back. The Brazilian fighter made it up, but he was staggering around and visibly in no shape to continue. Referee Tony Weeks waved off the contest.
