According to Audi Attar, the longtime manager of UFC superstar Conor McGregor, his client is completely serious about a future return to the sport of boxing.

McGregor made a very unexpected move when he crossed over to the sport of boxing in 2017, when he challenged a returning Floyd Mayweather.

McGregor did well in the first three rounds, but he was eventually broken down and stopped in the tenth round at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The bout between Mayweather and McGregor became the second most financially successful event in combat sports history.

McGregor return to MMA in aftermath, and lately he's been discussing a planned return to boxing to challenge someone for a world title.

Earlier this month, McGregor was back in the octagon and blew away Donald Cerrone in less than a minute.

Due to McGregor's interest in boxing, a number of boxers and promoters have called him out.

Most recently, Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum has detailed his interest in cutting a two fight deal for WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford to face McGregor in boxing and MMA.

McGregor's manager explained that nothing is being ruled out.

“[McGregor is] serious about boxing,” Attar told MMA Fighting. “He said it. That’s something that I can tell you, if he says something he has interest in, it’s likely going to happen.”

“We definitely monitor everything. We monitor not only fan engagement and interest from the public, but then you look at who’s out there talking what. Because it could be where we have a few different options to weigh and decide on. At the end of the day, I saw Floyd, I saw Manny and now Bob Arum, who at one point said, ‘It’s not a smart idea to crossover.’ He’s a believer now as well.

“It’s going to be busy, but we welcome that. We’re super excited for it. I think we’re all on the same page when it comes to ambition and goals, and so that’s really fun to see when your entire team is in sync. I think we all welcome that type of work load. We don’t look at it as pressure. We look at it as opportunity.”
