As I think about the 147lbs landscape, I couldn't help but think that Barrios being the weakest opposition there, that Ryan took the belt too easy. I think Paulie has been calling Barrios the worst champion since the dude acquired the belt in every video.
I don't want to make this a hate thread entirely, but I feel like the division sucks right now and Ryan just acquired an easy belt to justify rematching Haney when he should probably do some get back vs Rolly. I don't know, the division just sucks right now and Ryan didn't really add to it by becoming champ.
The division is pretty dry at the moment and I don't see any majorly exciting contenders or 140 guys that could move up. I honestly think if Keith Thurman could drop to 147 he could get a title right now.

So not only did you have to think about it. It literally just occurred to you NOW!?
No wonder Pacquiao fans get a bad wrap. Jesus
You didn't read what I said properly. I said BARRIOS BEING THE WEAKEST OPPOSITION, meaning I knew that and just stated that in that sentence. Then you're saying Pac fans get a bad wrap when you just failed English? Yikes.
My overall thing is that with Barrios sucking as bad as he always does, it was a show up for Ryan and you're going to become champion. He could of just been handed it over without having to perform.
Its just a trash division right now, Haney is a champion but kept getting knocked around by Ryan's hook again and again, Ryan is a champion but he had a really flat performance against Rolly who is a champion but got blasted by Psycho Davis at 135 and needed the ref to help him beat an old man. It's not an excuse but Ryan was really weight drained in that Tank fight. I'm still happy he took it because it kind of force all the other big names to fight each other. He hasn't even defended his title once so it's hard to say he's a paper champion. You can say that he was gifted a belt which is probably true. If he starts fighting guys like Kenneth Sims then sure he's a "paper champion". I still feel confident that Ryan can beat Haney though. Rolly not so much. can't wait for Silk Smooth Shakur or Silky Shaq to reign over 147
147 is the best division historically
RyRy is transitional belt holder so is his friend Devin
good but far from tremendous talents

also there is some guy from Europe somewhere who has the IBF title, I can't say how good he is I honestly have not seen him but he is That Dude of the division right now.
Lewis Crocker? I had to look him up. Never heard of him. What makes you think he's the dude of the division?
