These cruiserweights fight under 200 lb but when they turn into heavyweight boxers they blow up to 230 lb ! Why don’t they just gain 15-20 lbs more like Uysk ?

Fat Gilbert started at 160 and is fat af at cruiser
Badou started at 168 and is in good shape at cruiser
lol i just typed same thing before i read this post
if a cruiser guy is making 200 pounds he is probably 210 - 225 in the ring already
take usyk for example, i think he was not a big rehydrator at cruiser and came in fight night about 210
then when he fought AJ he as 221 at weighin which would make sense as he had clearly bulked up a bit from cruiser times so he put on about 10 pounds which allowed him to fight and beat bigger heavyweights
so it will depend how how much water u are shedding to make weight at cruiser what weight u end up at heavyweight if u move upFat Gilbert started at 160 and is fat af at cruiser

Because cruisers have less skills than heavy
Biblical Moses > Buff Guy Jai Fat Gilbert Fat Dave
the money and glory is at heavy
if a cruiser is good enough to heavy, he will heavy
Oleksandr turned himself from a regional figure into a global superstar at heavy
Most do don't they?
Haye was 210-224 with a high of 227
Tony bellows was 210-213
chris Byrd was 214ish
Holyfield was 220s
Tarver 217-224
Jirov mostly under 220, with a high of 227
James Toney was old and fat got into the 230s 240s even near 250 but also came in 217
Out of all those toney is the only one that has as over 230
Also with there being no weight cut some of them probably had a big meal or something that could be a few pounds between water and food

Now you stretching it. He’s great but he is not the greatest
Possibly the greatest Cruiserweight though- Only Holyfield could really challenge him for that (though some argue Haye) but Holyfield's was at 190.
CW's moving up have the smaller man advantage, but this era of HW's are so good, only Usyk is good enough. Usyk pushed the GOAT Fury to two close losses on Nash's card, and beat everyone else. He's a true hero. Wilder will beat him of course, but the streets will never forget Usyk's great HW run. Obviously Usyk is much better than OldGens like Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield, and VintageGens like Foreman, Ali, and older VintageGen Marciano. Nash out - His Majesty
I imagine most fighters who fight at Cruiser are doing so because thats their naturally best weight, or they are natural Lt Heavies who aged up into it. I mean its no different than any other weight, fighters fight where they are at their best, if 200lbs is where you are able to compete at your best then you fight there.
Citing Usyk's success is not really beneficial, as he is an all time great. Its like asking why don't all sprinters just run a 9.6 like Usain Bolt.
