how would this impact each of their legacies:cool:
Deontay did what Fury and Josh couldn't
delulu teenie boppers snap out of thinking Usyk is better than Ali and heavyweight goat lol
Excluding "personalities", a mere few will be remembered from this piss poor era.
Maybe 2 HOFers (Usyk and Fury)
If an unbiased fight fan can't recognize weak divs/eras/resumes (the dreaded R word), then perhaps that fight fan isn't unbiased after all.
Today's era is the same as every other however the image of boxing is way down now because of all the fake exo Jake Paul phony fights and Floyd's cowardice and Haymon's lousy PBC. However the top ten hwts are still the best of the best and the one who has risen to the top is as we have learned extraordinary and outstanding. But boxing has a poor image now and it may take a few miracles to save the sport.
It's not impossible but I think Wilder would need a little luck to beat Usyk now. His skill level was never that impressive, and he looks past prime now. If Usyk gets a leg injury so he's just not as mobile as usual, then maybe Wilder can catch him. Usyk will be 39 next month so he's getting old too and his whole style depends heavily on his fast feet.
Actually every era is equally tough, but each era has it's own talents and styles and personalities.

Shame he fought in the shlttiest HW era in the history of the sport
Only 3 other guys will be remembered from this crap era
AJ
Fury
Wilder
Yawn.....
Actually every era is equally tough, but each era has it's own talents and styles and personalities and the public and media perceive and misperceive differently and often mistakenly. Every era is the same, a bunch of the best trying to climb the mountain top. Ali's era is perceived as greater but it was no different than Holmes or Klitschko or Usyk era. The difference is how the media portrays each era. Ali is adored by the media, the Klitschkos were not, so the public is skewed by the biases.
Usyk ha nothing more to prove and nobody left to beat. He is the goat with the most perfect career ever, he never made one mistake in his career and he never had an off night. He has achieved and lived the greatest career in hwt history. Even Ali if he were alive today and with his faculties would say the same.

And as far as Nash is concerned, Usyk should still be somewhere near his prime at that stage. Too many guys are using past prime as an excuse. NextGen men can fight until at least 95 years old. What else are they going to do? Could have Usyk vs Fury fight 57 at that stage as well, and even if Uysk has won all 56, it can be billed as last fight wins all, similar to last goal wins on a park kickabout when one team is 15-0 up, but we can't argue with the rules, it's what they are.
Same as when Charlie Zelenoff, after taking a beating to the regular human eye, screams out "I win" then runs away with the W. Zelenoff knows that his subtle work claimed the victory, and he runs away, not because he is a chicken, but because he has nothing more to prove after his victory. Nash out - His Majesty

I'm a Usyk fan and he would have to fight well into his 90s to try and match Ali's resume.

Wilder could land that shot, it could happen. Probably won't, but it's within the realms of possibility, no doubt.
Yes that is why the fight will sell, a lot of suckers out there actually think Wilder was a legit beltholder and the hype MYTH is true he is the biggest hitter ever. Which is totally phony fake news. He's not even top ten all time. Fighting and beating nothing by PBC hired patsies and divers fooled a lot of sheeple. Wilder is nothing and always was nothing but a fraud pretender with a big mouth and Haymon protection.

Anything is possible when punches are being thrown.
It's all about the likelihood of that "anything" happening
If they fight, I can see Wilder being a huge under dog.
Ali trying to fight Holmes in the condition he was showed delusion and severe misjudgement. He should not have allowed it to happen. Usyk is too smart to make that grave error.

Like I said, least credible

Usyk fighting Wilder is the sort of cynical behavior that I would associate with "Money" Mayweather. I'd prefer for Usyk to retire if he's gonna start playing A-Side politics. Honorably defend your throne by fighting the likes of Kabayel and Wardley, or just ride off into the sunset.
iirc Jeff Horn was the teacher? what's CPGW?maybe Deontay is his planned retirement opp
me as a box fan you're entitled to a cherry for the last one
yes Jeff was a schoolteacher and CPGW = Cherrypick Gone Wrong
why higher expectations for Usyk?
Floyd was the vastly superior boxer, top 10 all time, and has a strong case for being the most skilled boxer in history
Biblical Moses would mop Deontay. I don’t want to see him get hurt he gave us good matches

Nothing worse than Team Pac finding a part time school teacher as an opponent
CPGW :lol1:

Usyk will be 39 next month, so not quite a prime version of himself either. It would not be a good look for Usyk to lose to Wilder regardless. Wilder on the other hand ducked Chisora on more than one occasion. His confidence is shaky. I don't think he's retiring after this fight. IMO he has about 2-3 more good fights in him. Remember that heavyweights battery last longer than the smaller guys. he plans to stop after 40
Biblical Moses must be the final fight:cool:
time for your british cousins to reclaim their manhood and stop simping for backwards ukraine

You're among the least credible voices in NSB
Usyk breezed through AJ
Had a very brief situation with DDD
This HW era is filled with patsies, I'll give you that.
As for your dim witted take on Ali....
What HW in the history of the sport has a deeper, more successful resume ?
Please say Fury
I haven't had a decent laugh yet
All the dominant hwt champions had awesome resumes. Ali's gets special attention and treatment because of nostaglia and because his personality and aura made Frazier, Norton, Foreman, etc all look greater than they really were, If you take Ali out of that era, that era was boring. Norton, Joe, George all had boring introvert personalities. Ali's charisma and electricity made that era looks much more exciting than it was. And five decades of media worship of Ali also built up Ali into a God of sorts. Ali was great, the greatest, don't get me wrong. He was the goat until his time but I believe Holmes, Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, Klitschkos and now Usyk are greater than Ali. But if Ali was 20 years old today and ranked in the top ten, I believe Ali would still become the goat with modern training, diet, discipline, etc.
