As entertaining as Oscar's "clapback Thursdays" have been, it's evident that's all they are: entertainment. Within weeks of declaring a unified front with other promoters and (belatedly) doing what's best for the sport in the face of the TKO challenge he's already reverted to type.
The "muh A side", "muh split" phenomenon has rumbled in the background for about three decades but ramped up since 2010. It's primarily an American phenomenon and coincided with the switch to low activity, big event based fighting in the US.
It's quite obviously been detrimental to the overall health of the sport, causing enormous frustration to fans as the obvious best fights in divisions get "marinated" indefinitely. Expect a few more hasbeen fights against Thurman, Spence, et al. before we get some of the fights we want to see.
Booty anus already turned it down when turki offered the cash I genuinely dont know why you guys choose to be ******.
Booty Anus? You got some serious issues going on there. Ho-rtiz and De La Lingerie are clearly ducking.
1. Ortiz is not a superstar, but he's become a prized possession because Canelo/Garcia/Munguia left. GBP has Ortiz and Zurdo Ramirez.
2. DLH tried to stonewall when it was time to make Stevenson/Zepeda. Munguia never fought for a 160lb title vs. Jermall or Andrade. Canelo made GGG wait. We still haven't gotten Ramirez/Opetaia.
GBP are experts at this.
I dunno Ortiz is a pretty big star. If you compare the attendance at his fights and who was at his fight compared to his contemporaries Ortiz is very much the star at 154
Every aspect of LIFE, there are A sides
But boxing,
A "sport" where the score is a secret
Scoring is subjective to whims of the judges
And the judges have the worst vantage point of everyone in the arena
A sport that relishes draws....
Boxing isn't supposed to have A sides
Can someone explain why it shouldn't ??????

Fine, but he needs to stop his crap about doing what's best for the sport. He doesn't care about anything but his own financial interests and ego. Same as Dana White.
