The fans, the media and lets just say friends of Lubin was trying to build this into some sort of 50/50. Like we didn't see Charlo blast him, Fundora rearrange his face, he just got a gift over a very poor mans Ortiz. It was basically the easiest fight of Vergils career lol
There is this horrible misconception that 154 is good, it isn't.
I don't want to be like I told you so but its blowing my mind fans can't see it and think Lubin is a top fighter and like Bakhram and Fundora aren't just products of a truly dead division.
I love Ortiz and Boots but as fans forget titles and these guys at 154 you should accept no less than these two fighting each other next.
Boots vs Ortiz and have Bakhram and Fundora fight or Xayas vs Baraou in a battle for the worst undisputed ever.
The only meaningful fight at 154 is Boots & Ortiz then the winner should in truth try meet Crawford at 160 in a mega fight.
Can't even beat Josh Kelly lol
I'll admit that I was one of the fans that thought Murtazaliev was going to run over everyone in the division. Unfortunately for Bakhram , styles make fights. So if you're a jittery, bouncy type of fighter who moves his head while popping off the counter punch then you can beat Murtazaliev. A lot of fighters just stand there (Tsyzu) and try to exchange with someone who has brutal KO power like Murtazaliev. Everyone is beatable it's just if you have the right style and feel natural fighting in your organic flow. I'm sure Murtazaliev will be back, but he won't be considered the big, scary boogeyman that he was previously.
why not Fat Dave wasn't all that impressive early on
now he's good to very good
don't believe he's near great
Fat Dave HURT Bivol in sparring and held his own against Golovkin. I'd say that's pretty fucking impressive!
Usually we see eye to eye on fighter's 99% of the time but you're WAY off the mark with Pacheco. The only way he'll become world champion is if Crawford leaves the division and he fights for a vacant title.
Lol are you saying he'll be at least as good as Benavidez? :rofl:why not Fat Dave wasn't all that impressive early on

why troll Diego so much
he’s 24 with plenty of room to grow:cool:
YEARS away from his prime
High level Mexicans seldom get ko’d!

The eye test matters most.
Skills and technique and so on win fights not resumes or silly trinkets or reputation.
I've seen him since his amateur days, there are more than 3 dozen pro fights to chose from several being top 10 and I think Stanionis worst case around #3 in the world.
I see the skill, the technique and all this. I am supposed to ignore this and pick some guy who simply has a win that is perceived better that doesn't even know what a jab is or how to put more than 2 punches together? And perceived by whom exactly? Emotional fans letting their excitement overcloud their judgement? a bent ranking system?
I've said this about Ortiz for a number of years also, another that was supposedly a ducker and an eye-test fighter.
Virtually always in boxing go with your eyes and your head and what you know not by the general consensus or resumes and all this stuff that is horribly overrated and really just a safety net. With boxing we see it more and more its a if we're wrong about this guy we'll all be wrong together sort of attitude. Especially in this era as lets face it most of the belt holders and guys deemed the best or great really aren't all that at all its more they have great backing, hype and matchmaking.Jaron-Vergil is the 154 edition of TBud-Saul but with a ko ending
the eye test bbc boxer with lacking opposition beats the Mexican warrior who has taken on all comers
Vergil has been vulnerable getting knocked down 3 times by Bohachuk
are they going to do it the old fashioned way? low guarantee like maybe 3 mil each and fingers crossed with the ppv bonus
or will eddie & oscar think 'i wouldnt mind a turkey this xmas'
Not sure this will work but Ortiz promoter already asking 10m+
https://i.imgur.com/SF0KGg3.jpeg/IMG]
does he think turki is bank rolling this gig?
i wonder what turkis offer was actually for the last fight?
Could be just an opening salvo, we will know whats what when or if it gets made or not and both sides will disclose the terms & it will be up to boxing followers to decide on who they blame if it all goes south
super fan lol
lets hope eye test boots and ortiz come to agreement & the fight can be made thats all
i have my doubts but i hope im wrong
Agreed.
I don't follow the promotion side but I've seen a few videos now of Ortiz and his father saying Boots isn't next and his dream fight is vs Spence (God I genuinely hope not).
I don't even care who wins tbh, I think they're both fantastic and the winners will be the fans I just hope to God it gets made next.
Boxing needs this not Ortiz vs Spences corpse and Boots vs another tomato can

I don't know truth be told I don't follow the promotion aspect, that is the promoters job and I don't care for it or how much fighters are getting paid, etc
I just want to see them fight, that's all I care for.
But why aren't these guys getting the same eye test treatment? Shouldn't most of them be scrutinised even more so?
super fan lol

if boots is so good why didnt he fight bud when had multiple chances in the same weight class for years
why didnt he fight teo and beat him easy like his fans said he would do? just show up and take the cash easy work
why didnt he take the turki cash no less so it was very good to fight ortiz when that fight was on the table?
eye test me arse lol
boots eye test so far is he sees a challenge and looks the other way :lol1:

He has simply ticked all the boxes.
Bud, Boots, Ortiz are elite, these guys are just mediocre on the grand scheme.

Stanionis is a world class fighter, a genuine world class fighter.
Stanionis is 10 times the boxer Tim Tyszu is. Would Bakhram even beat Stanionis?
This guy is only highly regarded because he is Russian and can punch a little. He is no Beterbiev, Kovalev, etc
He's more in the mould of a Kudryashov, an awful boxer with a good left hook and nothing much else
Fundora = A bum, an actual lanky bum with no chin, defence or skills just throwing punches for the absolute sake of it. This is supposed world class boxing in 2025 ladies and gents!
Trash! Stick it on Netflix with the rest of the YT codswallop
Boots and the eye test, I don't get it.
We've seen him go deep in fights and the distance, we've seen him vs a large variety of styles, decent opposition, we've seen him hit.
He has simply ticked all the boxes.
Is Stanionis not a top fighter who was avoided by Ortiz no less. He absolutely destroyed him like he was some random jobber. Is Chukadzian not a good little tricky fighter? Who he handily beat twice. Was Villa not a murderous puncher coming off several big upset wins? whose shots just bounced off him and he brutalised.
What does eye-test even mean? Its cowardice that is what it is. Its saying fvck yeah this guys fantastic but let me fence sit a little just in case he does lose at elite level.
Ain't nobody calling me a liar or claiming I am wrong just something about an eye test. Do your eyes see different?
What does Bakhram pass on the eye test other than being a puncher? He's even less proven than Boots.
What does Fundora pass on the eye test other than being abnormally tall?
Call it eye test or whatever I'll tell anyone that will listen he will blast guys like this out like nobodies business. They can not box! Bakhram is just a limited puncher, another Kudryashov and Fundora is a fvcking novelty act.
Bud, Boots, Ortiz are elite, these guys are just mediocre on the grand scheme.
Funny how Boots is eye test but where is this eye test with all the others his name gets thrown out with? Most of which are either more unproven or proven to be not very good.
Knocking out Shishkin certainly didn't do him any favours. I don't think Turki will let him face Sheeraz plus he shares the same promoter as Mbilli so won't be fighting him either. I'd like to seem him face an ex-champion like Plant/Scull next before knocking out your boy Diego.why troll Diego so much
