I'm gonna be honest with you regarding Boots/Bud

Just reading the OP, I'm not sure the entire argument is there that the quality of opposition isn't worth it when look who Boots just beat, lol. Is that a proper gauge for how he would do against the guys you mentioned wouldn't win a rd against him? I'm not saying they're great, but they're definitely better than what Boots had in front of him Saturday night. I wouldn't mind seeing how those played out. Besides, Crawford might be ripe for the picking soon. He looked good against Canelo who despite him having to move up in weight, Canelo also is becoming ripe for the picking and it just might of played into Bud's hands.

I'm a boots fan, but it's time for him to get active against Top opposition. His plan for 2026 needs to be three fights, clearing out the 154 lb division. I fear he's going the Crawford route, never fighting prime, elite fighters.

Difficult one because yea really he should fight the ranked fighters at 154 and he will slice through them and maybe only face some opposition vs Ortiz but none of those fights really excite me as a fan But the best fight anyone in the world can make in boxing right now would be Bud vs Boots next year and when ppl look back in 10 years they will regret not seeing them fight more than some bum ass 154 ranked fighter who no one will remember Bud is gonna probably walk away so Boots may as well just move forward

The Bud - Boots ship has sailed, Bud could well never fight again. Boots needs to get another fight in the calendar fast and not waste time with Twitter wars with Ortiz and Oscar.

I disagree I think Boots beats Bud and is all wrong for him, not many will agree with me because Bud has achieved more and beat better fighters, he is more proven and I wouldn't be bummed if Boots did lose I think its a fight that will elevate the both of them. Either way its not like he could do much worse than Canelo and certainly no worse than Spence. Technicians like Bud always look great until they're met with one whose on par and has superior athleticism It's difficult to say what Ennis can do at an elite level because he hasn't fought anyone that's at the top. He has one win vs a top ranked guy, looked good. So there's that but it's no where near enough to assess who he may do vs a Crawford. As most have said, Ennis needs to prove himself vs Top opponents. He's 28 years old so needs to get a move on.

Crawford offered him a voluntary defense too. Ennis turned it down because he only wanted to fight on Showtime. In terms of levels, someone like Murtazaliev is way closer to Boots than Boots is to Bud. A good counter puncher is gonna be a nightmare for Ennis IMO, especially someone who can catch and counter, Bud would light him up.

Lima is #10 with the WBC, #9 IBF #8 in the WBA... Sanctioning body rankings are a joke, mate. 11 out of 17 of the IBF's top rated contenders currently are not in the TBRB top ten. Your guy is in a deep division and needs to start facing some of the legit top ten guys next before we crown him the new SRR.

When young fighters come up, the elite ones, they fight the best guys that are available and beat the #5, #4, #3 and then eventually the #1 and become #1. Then if they move up they do the same. That's what Mayweather did, Pacquaio, Roy Jones, Crawford, Canelo, Inoue, essentially anyone that's been elite over the course of boxing history. His main course of action should be to fight Ortiz next, if no Ortiz, whoever is #2 and then #3 or whoever else, then try and move up and do the same. That's how you prove yourself. So far he ain't proved jack. He's in the same boat as Tank, but worse.
