No.
Pac's REAL ceiling was 147.
He, like Bud, Roy Jones, Canelo, & other great fighters found a vulnerable fighter in a weight class too big for them & used them as an opportunity to pick up a belt in a weight class they had no business in.
In my opinion, no. Manny Pacquiao unlike Floyd Mayweather Junior, did not have the technical skills to win a stylistic match up where he is being out powered, giving away masses in weight and? Being matched very closely in skill for skill boxing. That is the crucial difference between Pacquiao and Mayweather, and why Floyd Mayweather is overall the greater fighter'.
Note: Manny Pacquiao won all of his greatest fights in his career 'pretty much the same way. And he was smashed up in all the weight divisions he ever competed in. Whereas Floyd Mayweather Junior in comparison, won many of his biggest fights with contrasting styles and tactics because he had to. And in all the weight divisions he competed in, he was very rarely smashed up by his opponents or sustained heavy damage'.
Floyd Mayweather Junior once upon a time, had a greater chance of beating Gennady Golovkin than Pacquiao 'but even for Mayweather that level of challenge may have been too much, at the peak of his powers'.
To conclude: So overall Manny Pacquiao was an all-time great fighter, but? I think it was clear to see throughout his career. There was no real technical altercations in his style as he moved up through the weight divisions, he quite simply just seemed to increase his power and brute strength. Which made him a very effective fighter, but when those attributes started to decrease I think the difference in skill level between Mayweather and Pacquiao was very apparent'.
Floyd Mayweather Junior in the latter stages of his career 'was winning fights were he should of really been beaten. By the time he fought Manny Pacquiao in 2015, Mayweather was further outside of his peak form than Manny Pacquiao. In order to win that fight, Floyd Mayweather Junior had to rely on his basic fundamental boxing skills. Manny Pacquiao really should have been able to beat Mayweather at that stage of his career, but the skill level difference between the two fighters is what won Floyd Mayweather Junior the fight' etc.
It’s unlikely — “Prime Pac” would need exceptional skill jump, physical advantages, or massive strategic adjustments to surpass elite fighters like Canelo or Golovkin. Their technical mastery, power, and experience set a very high bar.
I don't think so. If Margarito was any sample of what facing a bigger guy without skill was, you can imagine more so in facing a Canelo or even GGG. Pac typically mentioned Margarito was one of his hardest fights ever and I believe him. He couldn't stay still the entire 12rds to allow Margarito to plant his feet and throw his big power shots. Even without bricks, he was still a big dude for the weight and can punch. It showed what happened when Pac stayed on the ropes too long and ate a body shot from him.
freddie was on record i think saying the margo fight damaged pac and was the start of his decline in his eyes, pac had already climbed the mountain getting to 147 and now people think he could somehow go again and jump another 2 weight classes and beat top guys prime lol boxing throws up strange stuff so nothing is 100% not possible but i just cant see it working out well at all, some fans will always think he and others can do this stuff tho, i mean floyd fans thought he might beat wlad klit at one point so thats just how it goes

Golovkin would have killed Pac. Canelo at 154 might have too. Pac had a really brutal fight with Margarito. He said that was his hardest fight and toughest opponent. Both Canelo and Golovkin were sturdier, craftier, smarter, faster, bigger and more powerful than Margarito.
yeah but he was winning all those rounds until the ko.. which is why i said pac is not khan. if khan was able to do that until getting caught in the 6th round, prime pac would tatttoo canelo's face to a late tko or decision.
Khan was NOT "winning all those rounds until the KO."
People have really warped perceptions of how that fight went.
HORN (CPGW), a part time special ed teacher, bullied and robbed him in broad daylight
JMM set up a brief meeting with him and Allah
Special 8 Ball pissed itself with this "what if" scenario and so did I :lol1:
Scorecards:
On two of the three ringside judges' scorecards, Khan was ahead after three rounds.
My man, the scorecards were;
49-46 Canelo
48-47 Canelo
48-47 Khan
That was the 3 scorecards at the time of the KO (Round 6).
Well firstly you're wrong because two of the three judges had Canelo ahead; 49–46 and 48–47.
Secondly, the one judge who had Khan ahead had him ahead by 48-47.
So none of the above supports your position that "Khan won all the rounds" so no it's lucky YOU weren't the judge and only a spectator :lol1:
I had it 48-47 Canelo at the time of the stoppage, so if anything my card co-aligns with the judges :lol1:
Either way it's neither here nor there because Khan definitely absolutely did not "win all those rounds".

good thing you were there as a spectator and not there to judge the fight.
Yes, Amir Khan was winning the early rounds against Canelo Alvarez, outboxing him with speed and movement in the first two to three rounds, though it was the beginning of a pattern where Canelo would slowly cut off the ring and wear Khan down. Khan's performance was impressive enough that two of the three judges had him ahead on their scorecards before Canelo landed a decisive knockout punch in the sixth round

Definitely was not doing winning all those rounds. I was ringside for that fight in the T Mobile Arena.
In fact I think Canelo was ahead on the cards if I'm not mistaken.

Canelo has more KOs at 154 than 160 or 168. showing that 154 was his best version. WIth canelo's slow feet, he would always have to reset vs prime pac.
How does that show it's his best version? Almost nobody would agree with you that Canelo was better at 154 than he was at 160 or 168.
You're entitled to your opinion but you're in the minority with that one.
You also don't need fast feet to give Pacquaio problems, Morales or Marquez don't have quick feet but they managed to get wins over Pacquaio.
Like Canelo, they don't have fast feet but they have good footwork and good counter punching ability.

Khan was knocked out cold in 6 rounds so not really seeing your point.
It's irrelevant anyway, you're entitled to your opinion.
Pacquaio should have pushed for the fight at 160 if he wanted it.
he didnt need too.. that's like saying crawford should go up to 175 and fight bena.

Yeah I'd say he's quite fast...
He doesn't have quick feet but he has good feet in regards to positioning etc.
Most definitely not the case but again you're entitled to your opinion.

this is prime pac, 2008-2009 version. in and out, throws punches in bunches, canelo will be dazed and confused... look what khan was able to do. pac is not khan.
