Why not? Bivol said he was prepared to go down to SM to fight Canelo for all the belts. The 'allegedly' ATG, Bud Crawford should be up for this challenge, right?
a fit Bivol walks around at 185
Cutting 17 pounds for 168 isn’t out of the norm
If he can do it, I'm not going to miss the fight. Hell of a fight. If Bud wins, he might be above Sugar Ray Robinson. That being said, I'd also bet my house on Bivol winning.
lol Bud's not going to fight Bivol. Bivol would destroy Bud. Styles make fights, and Canelo had a good style for Bud, especially now that he's slowed down. Bivol is so big, Crawford's reach advantage would be non existent. Bud would be faster with his punches, but Bivol's timing and strength are impeccable. That's just a gap too big for Bud.
That being said, I think if Bivol could shrink down, he'd take that fight in a heart beat. a fit Bivol walks around at 185

Bud V Bivol @SM for all Buds belts is another big fight. Bivol has already said he can and will make SM for a fight v Canelo for all Canelos belts. Well, Bud has all those SM belts now. The belts are the motivation for Bivol. Legacy is the motivation for Bud.
TBud wants 160 next
rehydrating 15 pounds standard practice in boxing
I'm sticking with 175 until we have more infos

was 170 for Madrimov
Saul was 180 for Bivol
between then and now Saul might be 185
TBud didn't look that much smaller last night max 10 pounds?
I go with 175

canelo is a very good win for bud, i think bivol at 175 is a step too far bud started at 135 lol, cant see bivol going to 168 now i dont think with beter and benny to keep him busy
ive always wondered what weight bud was in the ring, i mean do we have any info on what he went from 147 for example, would be interesting to know

Bud beating Canelo is a scalp on his tipi. But does not elevate him to ATG status IMO. Beating a peaking, busy, Bivol goes a lot further to establishing him as a generational ATG.

What irks me about all this is Bud gets an ATG tag at 37 years and only 40 fights. Sure he cleaned out his division. But his record looks more like an inactive fighter than an ATG. Talk about real ATGs, (without looking their records) Robinson had over 100 fights, so did JCC, and most of them had well over at least 60 fights. Beating Canelo doesn't make a fighter an ATG. Canelo is a lazy c@nt.
If Bud beats a Hagler, GGG, or a fighter that is going to push him and demand he actually has to fight, would give him more credibility. Canelo only throws 2 punches. Left rip and right cross. He doesn't even throw many of them!

but a lower tier atg
beating another great wide TBud is in a higher tier now top 25 top 30

"Listen, Floyd was the greatest in his era, I'm the greatest in my era. Ain't no need to compare me to Floyd or Floyd to me."
He gets a golf clap. Should have been thunderous applause.
The ENTIRE WORLD, not just the sports world, would do good to really listen to what he says right there. Our blood pressure would certainly neutralize.
Knock wood that TBud inspired Top Soviet Bivol to mop cruiserweight after he mops Artur for the third time and Benavidez
That is a 25 pound weight jump
Skill gap is big enough for Bivol to beat Parker’s Cousin Jai
And Bivol would be doing so at 36 or early 37 which is a little younger than TBud’s old 37
Artur thrice and Benavidez would make Top Soviet Bivol a top 10 all time 175 pounder
beating the main guy at cruiser climbs the all time great rankings
Ok but he is now the one true champion at 168 so is he going to vacate or take on top rated fighters?Scared, huh?how is TBud scared he on record wants 160 next
Bomac has already declined Benavidez at 168
Saul was a one-off
mega payday from a stylistically disadvantaged opponent who was past prime and not a natural 168
Top Soviet Bivol is none of the 4
Benavidez is maybe 1 of the 4
Scared, huh?
But no reason why not if Bivol wants to go to 168, Bud is the champion now after all in the weightclass and it can be the battle of the Canelo slayers.Bomac has already declined Benavidez at 168

Its a really good fight and I forgot he was willing to do that, he isn't a real big 175 so he should be fine.TBud laughing at the idea of trying 175
