Putting skills to one side...what really stands out about Crawford is the amount of self-belief he has in himself. It's scary. We've heard boxers over the years say they're going to win but there's always a small element of FEAR in their voice. However, Crawford has none and GENUINELY believes with his soul that he'll win and you can tell in the way he speaks and carries himself. In fact, in this regard, he might just be the best boxer doing this right now.
It will be interesting to see how the fight plays out but I wouldn't be surprised if he managed to pull off the upset like Buster Douglas who promised he'd win for his deceased mother.
This aged well…told you there was something in the water and I smelled an upset.
Congr@ts Bud…you’ve proven yourself to be a PHENOMENAL fighter and arguably the best of your era. Simply incredible achievement.TBud p4p king again
a US Black is on top of boxing once more as is tradition

crawford has bought the lie that canelo is a dirty fighter,, . they think that canelo is aging, AND that he will be clean. a double whammy. thats where they think they can win.
but its all been a lie , canelo has baited turki and crawford. they tried to intimidate him with the fake positive test of munguia. in saudi but the truth came out. canelo outsmarted them and then went out and took a dump in the middle of the ring in saudi for the way he was treated.
if you listen to interviews from canelo about the push from the first press conference, he straight out says that he thinks turki told crawford to get in his face, so he knows that is going on. he knows all is not waht it seems when it comes to that guy. look at how he went off on dana white and max and turki yesterday.
look at crawford face during that exchance. he looks lost and scared see canelo get like that. it started to get real for crawford in that mooment
its a miscalculation of the highest order, !
crawfords confidence is coming from lies he's been told and believes, !
Bud has given himself the chance by taking fight boxers don't ordinarily take. Floyd couldve best ggg but didn't dare risk it. So bud has everything to gain and little to lose. It's good to see that bud cares about his leacy, rather than zero
Defense wasn’t the problem with Madrimov…his lateral movement was (and if I’m being honest it wasn’t really a problem, I had Bud winning 9-3). At some point in the fight, Bud will make AlvaRoid open up and when he does, Bud will make him pay.:haha:
Bomac is that you:grouphug:
if he as good at wrestling as these TBuddies say
he can go into ufc after this if Saul wins wide
I'm sure he doesn't want those cauliflower ears. He has too much money to get those now.
no you trolliterate
the point is Alvaroid is better defensively than Madrimov
I take it you been watching boxing long enough to know defense consists of more than just mobile moving around the ring
Saul is a Slique White Chocolate
the closest you’ll get to a White James Toney
Ranking defense Floyd > Pernell > James > Bivol > Saul > TBud > Naoya

I respectfully disagree. Canelo has more to lose here so he's the one who's going to be fighting at an intense level. The excuses are in for Bud when he loses, "I went up two weight classes", "he was the bigger guy", "I have never fought at 168". As for Canelo, what is he going to say if he loses? The critics will criticize Canelo for losing to a smaller guy! This is why this fight is more important for Canelo. huge hit to Saul’s legacy if he doesn’t win under these circumstances

In addition, I’ve noticed some slippage in Canelo’s game. He no longer possesses the same type of upper body movement or reflexes he used to have against overachieving and overmatched opponents.
Which is not a good thing going into a Crawford fight.
I’m noticing that after all the wear and tear of a 20 year boxing career; He is finally slowing down and showing signs of aging and decline.
I think Bud might be catching him at the right time.
Finally, someone gets it! What do you mean that Bud just might do it? He is going to do it. Bud said his strategy is to start early and win every round.
That’s what I have been saying for these past few weeks. The reason being is that he is the hungrier of the two and wants it a lot more.

Have a 7 am flight to Vegas to go to the fight. Have Canelo by UD.
what a load of cow dung.. name one fighter who exhibits this trait?
"We've heard boxers over the years say they're going to win but there's always a small element of FEAR in their voice".
Lol Canelo’s already been WHOOPED twice by Mayweather and Bivol (and really GGG) so obviously wasn’t that difficult to tag.
What is your point? That AlvaRoid is more mobile than Madrimov? Tonight, you’re gonna cryno you trolliterate

Disagree as I think he looks supremely confident. However, the only question mark for me is his CHIN. Especially in a much higher weight class considering that Gamboa made him do the stanky leg and Kava dropped him.we soon find out
I am of the school that TBud chin was bolstered by his big weight cuts
this fighter was dropped by a random euroid’s overhand at i believe 147
:haha:
Saul has never stood there and taken two flush lead uppers in a row
Madrimov did

Crawford had an OFF night against Madrimov (even though he still won) because of Madrimov’s unpredictable and elite footwork. However, Canelo is much more stationary and easier to hit.:haha:
Saul has never stood there and taken two flush lead uppers in a row
Madrimov did
Based on the micro expressions on TBud's face I do not see the confidence at all
Bivol's Cousin Madrimov connecting on TBud with 3 straights in a row forever etched in memory
TBud is neither as defensively savvy as Floyd nor Bivol
Saul is good enough to land 1 to 2 hard rights per round

Bud does appear to be supremely confident in himself. But what does that really mean? He’s a great fighter who’s known nothing but success. Crawford is a true champion, and champions always think that way. He’s about to step in the ring with another champion — a true champion who’s naturally bigger and stronger. The problem with being supremely confident is that coming down off it can be devastating. We’ll see in a few hours if Crawford is justified.
Agreed but Crawford’s level of self-assuredness is pretty unique…especially for a guy taking his first fight in a weight class 2 divisions higher against a future HoF.
