Beating Whyte like that is impressive. Whyte came in the best shape in the last 10 years.
If not Usyk, Itauma should fight Parker, Kabayel, Hrgovic or Wardley. He is only wasting rime if he keeps on fighting Whyte type ex contenders. Zhang, Wallin, Miller or Ruiz can't test him at this point.
Bring on contenders.
His boxing IQ is very good...he was unbeaten as an amateur and took Whyte apart with surgical precision with a wide array of punches knowing when to get in and out of range. As for his heart and chin, that remains to be seen but generational talents like him are usually NOT lacking in those departments.
He has not shown any, he's with " paid " UK opponents. He should be getting ready for the world amateur championships later this year.
Jermaine Franklin would be fine, however, even if he won that fight I'd still want to see him against someone who views himself as ascending. Not sure Franklin is really there trying to do everything it takes to win. But again, it would be fine.
Another name who I came across recently: Nelson Hysa - Queensbury fighter, older guy, but interesting style that caught my eye. Nothing is going to jump out if you watch his film, but he's got good size, appears heavy boned might take a shot, somewhat tricky style - most importantly, I think he views himself as rising up the ranks. He's now ranked in a couple places.
He is one guy who seems to have hungrier mentality and edge, and he also called out Ituama recently so he's willing to take the fight.
Hrgovic would beat Itauma because he's more intelligent. Itauma is a low IQ fighter like Wilder and that won't work against any of the European heavyweights outside of fighters like Dubois, Joshua, Whyte, Chisora. Hrgovic would dismantle Itauma who will soon be exposed.
lol comparing Moses to Wilder. They’re nothing alike and you clearly aren’t much of a boxing fan.
DDD is dumb as rocks and beat Filip
This is great fight. Id pay and id hope flip takes it. If flip lost, I think he'd retire. But I think itauma mentioned jermaine franklyn
That is nice, Franklin can give Itauma some rounds.
Hrgovic would probably take the fight with Itauma.

I badly want to see itauma v usyk next.
But I care for usyk, and if usyk wins, people will say itauma best noone. So ideally, Moses fights either parker, or kabayel first. I'm not sure they want to fight itauma though.
Hrgovic would probably take the fight with Itauma.
yeah and then people will just say he made a fight with a 20 yr old who has beaten the shell of stumble bum and jumped the Q for a fight over much more deserving guys waiting for their shots

Parker will fight anyone, but at the expense of fighting usyk I'm not sure?
His heart, chin, and stamina have not been tested. His boixng IQ is largely unknown.

Yep...Biblical Moses is the REAL DEAL who has it all in my opinion i.e. technique, fight IQ, athleticism, speed, power etc. The only thing that remains to be tested is his chin but fighter's who are great all round like him usually have solid chins too. Keep an eye out for Adam Azim from England who is just as good.

Biblical Moses is the best prospect you called so far
another mixed race Slav
blended Slavs have outperformed given their limited numbers: Bivol Tszyu ggg
Moses is first time we are seeing the BBC Slav mix

so joshua should now be retired but toss him in with this new guy moses who will expose him? that makes perfect sense
Well, its up the him, not me. Between the "Three Kings" of 10 years ago, he's the youngest. The money would be right.
Hold on He must prove he can box with a top 10 guy for 6+ rounds. He must prove his boxing heart. He must prove his chin. No way is this young man ready. First he must pass these tests.
Sure. Certainly Doc....... But WHO can give him that test??
Wilder and Fury are gone. Zhang, Pulev and Ortiz are ancient. Dubois and Joshua are far too fragile to give Itauma much work, if we're really trying to be honest.
With that sort of performance against an older but top conditioned Whyte; number 12 in the world, Itauma has seemingly steamed beyond the likes of Jalolov, Okolie, Huni, Sanchez, Anderson, Torres, Chisora, Ajagba, Bakole, Gassiev, Hunter, Hrgovic and Yoka.
We allowed ourselves the luxury of bestowing greatness on Usyk after very few fights, and it looks much like we're in the rare position to do that again here.
It's not that the top of the division is bad; its simply that Usyk and Itauma are exceptional! Even with only 24 and 13 fights, respectively.
Usyk, Parker, Kabayel, Wardley and Itauma are the men of the moment, and Usyk will require at least two of the others in order to fully extricate himself from the suspicion of having made his name against two men in their final fights.
That's how eras end and new ones begin.
Well, Daggum; Wilder went where Joshua and his conquer Ruiz weren't good enough to go and met prime Fury three times, fighting him to a draw and effectively knocking him spark out.
Fast forward to today; and we see Fury's retired, Wilder and Joshua should be.
I have serious doubts that the Hrgovic who faced Adeleye this weekend would "expose" Moses Itauma. Serious doubts.
Here's an idea.......Toss the once unbeatable Anthony Joshua in there with Itauma!!!! See who gets exposed.

Itauma is a lot like Wilder in the sense that a certain demographic is overrating him now. He's also very limited outside of his perceived power. Once he fights an Usyk, Hrgovic or even Fury his limitations will be exposed and his usual suspects fan base will look for another hero.

Indeed. It is already the biggest fight in division. Just make it.
.

No-one is going to live with his hand speed.
So it will come down to whether someone can do something offensively with him. Usyk with his movement and feints could but I don't think anyone else does.
No point holding him back now. Find the biggest fight available. The challenge is getting enough money to the right opponent.

We have an old elite fighter and a young elite talent. there is no need to wait.
Itauma doesn`t need to fight Zhang or Hrgovic next.
Itauma didn't let Whyte get into the fight. In his post fight interview in the ring he had said that he was trained to see what Whyte dose in the ring and pounced on it. It shows that he is just not a young fighter that comes out aimlessly swinging. He showed more patient and tactical movement than his previous fights.

The shyte of Whyte has been obvious for years.
