Seen a lot of the writers posting articles on this, thought I’d get some opinions of the posters.
Leonard-Hearns 1981 for me. Just think it had everything. Two undefeated guys in their primes. Huge momentum swings, the puncher became the boxer and the boxer became the puncher. Incredible atmosphere and an emphatic finish too.
Post your own…
Tyson vs Holyfield 1. The whole world stopped to watch
Barrera vs Morales 1. Pure violence
Mayweather vs Hatton. loudest vegas fight ever.
Mayweather-Hatton was the first Vegas fight I went too. I was up in the cheap seats, wasn’t even 21 at tgw time and had to use a fake ID to get into the bars, gamble at casinos etc. I remember watching the fight live I actually thought Hatton was doing well. Then I remember flying back to the UK and watching it on like the Wednesday and it was actually pretty one sided. My favourite build up to a fight ever and the atmosphere was insane, literally all week too. Awesome experience.
Maidana vs broner was probably my fav, the build up with broner being the overwhelming favourite and being hilariously over confident to maidana teaching him a lesson, it was very satisfying.
Best fight I've watched live in terms of out right entertainment was maidana vs ortiz, the sound of both men's punches is the loudest I've ever heard live. Brutal fight.
jmm vs katsidis deserves a mention, always loved watching jmm and katsidis made him earn it in this one, great atmosphere also.

Indeed. It was sure a big deal at the time. I have most of Tyson’s fights on a three-DVD set. They’re heavily edited — not just the in-between rounds, but even lulls in the action — but you get a real sense of each fight. Their two encounters were literally like watching two bulls fight. Neither gave an inch. Fearsome. I don’t know how frail, old Mills Lane had the guts to stand between those two behemoths. He might’ve been killed completely by accident. Haha
Like others said, there's gotta be hundreds:
some that came to mind -
Chiquita Gonzalez v Michael Carbajal I (this was the first fight my dad took me to at a kid. I didn't know jack at the time(still dont) , I didn't appreciate that it was a classic fight until I got older.
Riddick Bowe - Holyfield I
Chavez - Taylor I
Barerra-Morales I
Hamed-Kelly
Kelly Pavlik - Jermain Taylor I
Pacquiao - Morales I
Margarito-Cotto I
Oscar-Mosley I
Pac-JMM 1 + 4

Fury vs Wilder 1
Fury vs Wilder 3
Joshua vs Klitschko
Mayweather vs Hatton
Pacquia vs Marquez 4
Khan vs Maidana
Fury vs Usyk 1
Froch vs Groves 1
Chisora vs Whyte 1
Joshua vs Ruiz 1
Prince Naseem vs Kevin Kelly
Overrated fights
Fury vs Usyk 2 (decent, but such a drop from fight 1. Very scrappy)
Thurman vs Danny Garcia
Gatti vs Ward - All of them. No skill level
Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson - Even though Mike Tyson reprimed for the fight, he can't compete with Next-Gen men like the Face of Boxing Jake Paul
Wlad vs David Haye
Just 11 great fights off the top of my head and some overrated ones. Nash out - His Majesty
So many over the years. I’ll just name three that immediately come to mind.
Duran-Leonard I: An ATG fight by any standards. Two of the all-time greatest at their weight — indeed, P4P — and in their primes. How often do you see that anymore? A razor-close match-up between two finely honed fighting machines, and the struggle lived up to the hype. Just doesn’t get any better.
Castillo-Corrales I: Yet another bout that regularly appears on such lists. That one was something to watch. Drama on a large scale. Rare is the fight that measures-up for sheer guts and excitement.
Qawi-Holyfield I: Incredible. One of the best fights you’ll ever see. I watched this on live, free TV. Those were the days.
I forgot about Holy/Qawi. Great fight.
Monzon-Benvenuti 1
Tito-Vargas
Daniel Zaragoza-Paul Banke 2 (all 3 are good)
Probably those 3 my favourites but there’s like 100+ to add.
In the late 70s/early 80s, Bazooka Limon, Cornelius Bosa-Edwards, Bobby Chacon and Rolando Navarette took turns trying to kill each other for the WBC 130 lb belt. All action every fight. None could beat Arguello but savage action. I singled you out because I respect your opinion and I’m sure you watched all these fights.
Crawford/Spence was the most satisfying @ssbeating of all-times.
I was in the house for that one. One of the most impressive performances I’ve seen live.

Coralles-Castillo was my second choice, the most incredible finish to a fight I’ve ever witnessed.
Lmao that lil meltdown you had was hilarious
So full of shlt. "I've said Pacquiao is an all time great!"
Last month "Pacquiao is on steroids not froid despite the 750ML of IV and usada!!"
Clown :lol1:
I have never said Floyd was innocent. I suspect pretty much every fighter is dirty.
But especially the ones that duck fights specifically over drug testing.
Oh, you're still in denial about the Ugas fight. That's what this is about.
Manny lost that fight. Live with the reality.
